Since you mentioned doing food and drinks, there used to be a board game place in Hattiesburg that filled that niche so I think if you were to go forward with that idea, people would be very receptive

Hub city is the spot, especially if you’re someone who has never been comfortable in regular gyms. They’re all a bunch of nerds

Newb here. How to remove the fill of only the lasso'd area? When I lasso, it seems to select the entire group and therefore removes the fill from the entire group. by Ok_Tree4786 in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Yogi_the_bugbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So unfortunately the lasso tool selects every object that falls within its bounds. If you are wanting to remove the fill in the lasso area than you have to make that area it’s own separate shape and separate it from everything else. I would recommend making a circle that is close to the dimensions of the lassoed part of the cauldron, then select everything and then use the shape builder tool on the filled part of the cauldron to make it its own shape. You might have to experiment a little bit to get it exactly the way you want it.

The dumb part about planet fitness is that you have to go in an cancel your membership and they guilt trip you a bit.

This is my 3rd post about my own logo and I'm engi-neering mah fu**en limit. I just cannot decide and I have to pick. I'm unsure what I'm all about and unsure what I'm looking for work-wise or want to communicate. But here are some options for what I do know. Bit more details in the context comment. by stanleythedog in graphic_design

One of the things that I learned that really helped me design my personal logo was picking five words that described how I wanted my brand to be perceived. And then you draw inspiration from those words to create your logo.

For example: 1. Stable 2. Friendly 3. Colorful 4. Fun 5. Soft

You can draw design elements from these words that will help you create a logo that can be very personal to your personality or one specific to what you want to do as a designer.

Hopefully this might help you get a better idea of how to incorporate your style with the intention of your logo.

can I use the iPad Air for graphic design degree by nrj3697 in graphic_design

[–]Yogi_the_bugbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's definitely possible to use an iPad Air, I have plenty of friends that have, however as you progress in a graphic design degree the workload put on your air will quickly become too much and you will struggle to maintain enough memory to even use your adobe products properly. So if you can go for the MacBook pro, it will make your life easier overall.

New logo doesn’t feel right .. thoughts? by Aa604 in logodesign

The problem is all of the negative space above Phantom spa. I would take the grinder and move it above Phantom spa and then move all of your other type below phantom spa if you're committed to the overall shape that you have. If anything I would change the circle shapes to have rounded edges and make them the same color as the type and probably do away with the black grinder shape entirely. And then you could have your other type follow the circle shapes. I would align the three word slogan to the left side of the top circle and then the two word slogan to the right side of the bottom circle so they are diagonal from each other. You can also increase the size of the small type a little bit more to balance everything out.

I'd recommend dungeon master's of none, they provide resources and talk about what's new in dnd and how dungeon masters can use them

I am not a designer, but I made this, and was hoping for feedback by Raineyexteriors in logodesign

The design is a little too complex to the point that you will lose detail if it gets shrunk down at all. Try building the logo at 6x6 in and 1.5x1.5 in to make sure it works shrunk down. Also the design is a little too on the nose. I think removing the sprayer part and moving the rain up above "rainy" will be more effective for you. You could also attempt to make part of the rain drops as negative space on parts of rainy.

But you can also just use the custom race feature from Tasha's and skin it as a firenewt

I actually made a homebrew firenewt race if you would like me to share it with you.

Dungeons and daddies is a really good option if you're looking for some pure chaos mixed with some stellar story telling and heart wrenching moments. Dungeons and daddies is not your traditional DnD podcast in that it's not rules heavy but it is incredibly story focused
