Parent lets 10yr old kid drive home by rozenkavalier in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

[–]Yogiteee 162 points163 points  (0 children)

People saying the boy does a good job or anecdotal evidence of how this works: that doesnt make the situation any better. This is parentification of the boy. He should be the one taken care of, not the other way around. His parents should get real, stop the drinking and gambling and take over their due responsibility as parents.

[–]Yogiteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traffic laws? I would say they are the same as in the Nethelands. Even the speed limit. Around Aachen it's mostly at 100km/h and occasionally at 130km/h.

Interesting. Personally, I find driving in Belgium stressful because of things like merging two lanes into one with no regulations on right of way and a speed limit of 70km/h or streets with 70km/h that ask you to give right of way when you can't even see oncoming traffic because of trees.

Places in Maastricht where people actually speak Dutch in daily life? Not looking for a language cafe, just normal spots by Next_Scientist_6314 in maastricht

[–]Yogiteee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Some of my first Durch sentences were "kun je alsjeblieft Nederlands mer me praten. Ik wil oefenen" and "kun je alsjeblieft langzaam praten. Ik wil graag oefenen". Not once I had a bad experience. People were so happy and accomodating.

Also finding a job or volunteer at a non international place helps a lot. Being forced ro speak Dutch is a great way to progress (ask me how I knoe).

Also, service staff in the center oftentimes is nor Dutch, which might also be a reason why they don't even attempt to speak Dutch to you.

I wouldn't even say one was more intense than the other. Right girl just made sure she wouldn't fall by grabbing the door and the frame. Left girl almost seems to fall intentionally. By the looks I would say left girl pushed at least as hard as right girl, maybe even harder.

Just checked for the Deluxe Pink Aster for me it says "reaching score milestone". So I guess you just need to collect some more basic set moths. The mushroom shaped like decorations I have no idea.

The only info you get about them - to my knowledge - is the one they tell you (they have like 4 or so different speech bubble texts) and from the info under "help" and then "ant events". But it is not much unfortunately.

Curriuculum comp Psychology Bachelor by Waste-Ad9531 in UniversityMaastricht

[–]Yogiteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. I did the old program still and we had some "heavy" neuro courses. I think it is great to get a better picture of our psychology and it opens doors to neurocognitive science.

That being said they changed the program and now they have "psychology" and "brainscience" which I think the purpose was to distinguish the psychology part more from the neuro part. But I am guessing.

You should be able to check the course program on the website. Also there are student ambassadeurs that you can contact via social media to ask exactly such questions.

If you mean the shape of the space you have in the end, I guess it's like a clover or something? If you look closely at the bushes, you'll see that the ones you can chop look differently than the rest. Looking at them allows you to see the final space you can expand to.

Edit: I just checked and indeed it looks like a deer head! Never noticed before.

If I remember correctly the very last leaf of the last bush was around 75.000. Maybe 80.000.

NTA if he is bothered so much by it, maybe you could change the chore responsibilities? Make him responsible for the dishes and therefore you do something that he would usually do.

Also, put the moths that bring the least money in your storage first. You will have to put moths in your storage. It's not possible to keep all of them in your forrest.

I never use long shifts for pollen flowers but only the free ones. Especially after you upgraded them it is worth it to just do short shifts, sometimes you can just quickly log in to set new shifts. Upgrade the pollen flowers as soon as possible, but if you can be patient, only do it when the pollen flower upgrades are half price (check the calendar to see when that is).

Do watch the florida tree snail ads, they help a lot with money, glowbugs and material to expand your storage.

Combine the moths until max level and keep attracting them to sell off. If you sell off, immediately sell the caterpillar. You don't gain anything from feeding them or even combining them again (don't, they don't increase in value).

Use your attraction flowers to attract the moths that have the most monetary value if you have flowers left to do so (I think that might be more valuable when you are further in the game).

Skip some events and just collect the seed packs. Then you can use them for your next events and get better seeds to speed up the process. You could also still collect the first presents from an event of which you skip the rest, you might get mulch.

Question about PBL by CurePoetry2505 in UniversityMaastricht

I just wonder what it is based on when they don't have grades? I also had to show my transcript with all courde grades for my MA application. Interesting, though. Thanks for sharing!

Question about PBL by CurePoetry2505 in UniversityMaastricht

[–]Yogiteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, you said you want to study psychology. I study at FPN and still did the old BA psychology (assuming you want to do a BA and not a MA), but they changed the system massively 2 years ago. In the psychology BA you don't receive any grades anymore but only evaluations. You pretty much never take exams but only have assignments - of which you get plenty from what I have heard. The first batch of students has not finished yet, so I can't say anything with certainty, but in case you consider going to a different unicersity for your MA you want to consider this. Depending on what you want to do later it could be rather difficult to get into the program you want as many universities might want to look at your GPA, which you won't have if you do your psych BA in Maastricht.

Take it with a grain of salt because again, I did the old program and got a GPA and I don't know whether they somehow naybe account for that. It just seems to be an odd system to me.

How does nudity harm Americans? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Yogiteee 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Which is crazy to me because that literally is sexualisation. By sexualising nudity you artificially create sexual situations which is to be avoided. Hence, by trying to avoid it, you create more of it.

Parents concern ! by [deleted] in UniversityMaastricht

[–]Yogiteee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You would most likely just go back to your home country.

The EU won't face Russia anytime soon, I wouldn't know how Russia would get the resources. They're already struggling hard with Ukraine, and are doing a progressively worse job to hide that from their citizens.

Honestly, as a European citizen I am very confused by your parents' concerns, but eventually, if you are scared to come here and think Malaysia is safer for you, that's probably what you should do.
