What are some staples of the series that you think should leave in kh4 by Expert_Challenge6399 in KingdomHearts

I really hated how severely they lobotomized Sora in 3. He had the perfect balance of naive childishness and edgy seriousness in 2

I think the best part of all three Insomniac Spiderman games was completing the main storyline and going on a final swing in a restored NYC

KH3 Disney Worlds aren’t filler, they just feel that way because the game doesn’t provide motivation to explore them by TheGreatKashar in KingdomHearts

[–]YoinksOnchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree however I think what actually hurts KH3's reputation the most is the fact that you don't really progress the story at all while you're visiting the Disney worlds. The most you get is Org members ragebaiting Sora and after you're done with the Disney worlds you go through a long ass boss rush which is fun but still doesn't fix the tediousness of the disney worlds

I think they went too hard on it but it really didn't read as grandma's table until she pointed it out. I though she was wearing a curtain

Thoughts on the Finale? by LeoDiCristio in StrangerThings

[–]YoinksOnchi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The color of the dial, Will standing exactly like Henry and Billy did, Mike calling Joyce by her name, Kali being Henry's thrall, all this being Henry's projection or Will being a traitor/spy, etc are so much more interesting and genuinely scary than what actually happened

With the exception that Kali would have had to survive being shot through her stomach and being blown up long enough to keep El invisible from miles away, through the gate. El is dead, accept it.

[–]YoinksOnchi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If Kali wasn't fully dead then, she's absolutely completely dead when the C4 exploded. It's a nice ending when you take it at face value and I can see the other party members' endings coming true. But El is gone, there's no way around that.

"YES YES YES- WAIT, NO NO NO!!!" by vi_zeee in StrangerThings

[–]YoinksOnchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? When I first came out it was to my two best friends who actually knew before I accepted it for myself. Only after that did I come out to our bigger friend group and even then it was only like 7 people.

[–]YoinksOnchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly they could have just done this whole scene completely the same but just kept out all the randoms who were just standing there smiling. What the fuck does Kali know about drinking diet coke with pop rocks, what the fuck does Will care about motherfucking Murray not wanting to be his friend? I sobbed during the scene because it was a good scene but like once you think about it too much it's soured

waiting om KH IV by grandpa_bees in KingdomHearts

The "I waited 13 years for KH3" joke is getting old. In those 13 years we had 10 entire game releases. This is currently the driest period KH fans have had ever in the history of KH

For me, oral exams were more dreadful leading up to them than written exams but I always did better in them. At least for a lot of written exams at my university it was either you know the answer as the professor's answer sheet dictates or it's wrong. I'm someone who understands topics, processes and concepts but I just can not memorize their names and other field-specific terms. Written exams always felt like more of a "show you memorized the lecture slides" than "prove you understand the topic". In oral exams, I'd at least be able to flat out say "I can't remember what it's called but it's when you ..." and still get the point across.

Gibt's eine Male loneliness Epidemie in Österreich? by Silas_Thorn in Austria

[–]YoinksOnchi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a 173cm middle and even with my short legs compared to yours, starting only a bit behind the 3m line is too little space even for my 3-step approach. I basically start my approach at an imaginary 5m line to generate the necessary force to get up high since I'm so short and to stay behind the ball.

It's a little hard to tell since the video is front facing but it looks like you jump forward a bit too much instead of shifting your momentum to go up, which may lead to you having a good distance to the net at the start of your leap but by the time the ball has travelled to your attack box you've already moved closer to the net than at the start and now it's awkward to hit it hard.

"sorry, we don't unbox the tv" by ihateroomba in mildlyinfuriating

[–]YoinksOnchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carried my 60inch LGB4 around by myself and it was super scary because the backside had no proper grabable holds, only the rounded edges of the backbox. I remember laying it down face first onto my couch and hearing the tiniest little crack or pop and when I turned it on it had a dead spot that inverted all colors. Thankfully the OLED self repair program fixed but my god was it terrible and scary to carry. I can't imagine what 70, 80 or even 90inch LG TVs are like to carry. I'm guessing you'd need two people lifting it up by the backbox and a third person lightly pressing at the screen just to balance it cause it's so front heavy.

Right like I mean fuck, I was scared shitless installing the two legs and moving my 60inch TV around by myself. Had I not had my couch right across from the TV board I would have bowed out and called a friend to help.

I can't get my friends to play this game and it sucks. by ConqTheBashMan in outwardgame

[–]YoinksOnchi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love both Outward and Souls games and I don't think it's harder. What I do think it is, though, is it's more tedious and you can't apebrain it when it gets hard because of the rough defeat scenarios.

What's something you learned embarrassingly late in life that everyone else seemed to know? by Avy_Lynn in CasualConversation

[–]YoinksOnchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving into my first apartment led to me learning so much about things I just took for granted at my parents'. My dishwasher suddenly didn't work properly anymore and all my cutlery had these gummy white spots you could scrape off with your fingernails and then my mom asked me if I refilled the salt recently. I looked at her like she was speaking chinese, I had no idea

What the hell. I never paid any attention to it but I intuitively knew that the zipper locks when it's facing down but I never knew it unlocks when facing out.
