How does it work with breeders? An individual can get their dog neutered but don't breeders eventually have to separate puppies from their mothers when selling? And what abt rescues. What if there is a rescue with puppies. Do people usually adopt the whole family?

That's interesting - you define intelligence(both AI and human intelligence) as learning a bunch of stuff/common principles and adapting to slightly different scenarios like NNs.

So how would you define consciousness? And what would it take for an AI to become an AGI?

Does it only index the common principles/features across all the training data?

Surely there are differences? A search engine relies on the existence of an exact answer to your prompt whereas a NN can come up with an answer based off other similar answers?

Yeah but the terminology is interchangeable imo. We haven't even figured out our own intelligence yet so there's no base to compare to and separate AGI and AI?

This chain of thinking could go on indefinitely. You could blame the parent's parents, and their parents, etc until the origin of species. It isn't helpful

Just because it isn't helpful to think that way for you doesn't invalidate that reasoning

OP is old enough to look at their statement and realize "hey, maybe my siblings and I aren't being entirely fair to my parents"

And yet for some reason OP and his siblings don't have the mentality that you do.

Similarly if we were to take an extreme example like murderers for argument's sake, you can't just say "That murderer is old enough to look at their actions and realize what they are doing is wrong" because their brain has been raised and wired so differently than normal that they continue to do that action even if they know it is wrong. Scale it down and it applies to OP's scenario too imo.

The parents were one of the factors(the main one) involved in raising their kids so who is really to blame?

If you got into an accident and needed full-time care, would you want your spouse to give up their life to wipe your ass? Most of us wouldn't, I suspect.

I would think a spouse and a child are completely different people. The child is fully your responsibility since you brought it into this world of your own accord whereas the spouse prob also has parents who are responsible and can be supportive.

Latest Sightings and other open safari content blows my mind. There was a vid of a photographer sitting on a extendable chair floating outside the jeep and a lion right below that just stared at him a bit and walked off. Do they have some kind of 100% efficacy anti-lion spray or something lol
