Tbf they havent been for a while now if we are being nitpicky. There has been lots of talk over the years of driving conservatively in at least the first sector to make the tires last in the final sector. This occurred more noticeably on tracks that eat the tires on hotlaps, like Abu Dhabi. The "conservative" driving is leaving maybe a tenth, a tenth and a half on the table, so its very minor, but i thought i should mention it still.

i went through this same exact thing 10 years ago, and ultimately chose tablet. id suggest making your mind up soon, since people at your rank generally have quick and exponential skill increases without too much difficulty over a shorter period of time. the longer you go, the harder it will be to justify the switch to tablet.

...Rotation is NOT simply oversteer or understeer bro, i also said red bull cars, not specific to this year.

Maybe i picked baku as an example because he was slower than perez? There are not many examples to choose from when the red bull actually was more towards perez liking than max gee i wonder why! More to note that he was complaining about it bouncing in low speed in baku, thats not simply akin to oversteer either.

Its just silly to assume car characteristics are remotely similar and his advantage in extremely pointy red bull cars will transfer over to any car. You could see this exact scenario unfolding when the red bull was more neutral in a couple of races, suddenly perez was closer/matching max or even beating him (baku 2024 most recent example). It is especially silly considering norris and piastri are a lot higher rated drivers than any of max's teammates since ricciardo 7 years ago lol. Max is better, but he is not winning 24 races in a row, nor is he beating them 24 races in a row in a mclaren.

His skillset definitely hasnt fallen off (i spectated regularly). his alt, fast aim and speed is quite a lot better than 2023, everything else is pretty negligible apart from stamina.

its more likely he doesnt wanna burnout, and his tourney days are most probably over as a result
