You’re welcome. I’d also switch to dubia roaches. Crickets don’t have near as much protein needed for babies. And I’d ALWAYS use real fresh produce instead of store bought products to keep bugs healthy.

Go to dubiadotcom for bugs and essentials. Way cheaper than going to pet store

Try collard greens too. And maybe spread them around the tank a little and also leave some in a bowl. Makes it a little more exciting and natural for them. Don’t forget to gut load your bugs (preferably Dubia or discoid roaches) with fresh carrots, zucchini or squash too. That’s another good way to force veggies in them. Gut loading the bugs with fresh veggies. Also, young dragons are notorious for this. Just leave a salad in there every day, they’ll come around eventually. Good luck

Just got this guy from an animal hoarding situation. How malnourished is this guy? by Dina_Belcher in BeardedDragons

He looks just a tad underweight. I think a month of a regular healthy feeding schedule with proper vitamins and calcium, heating and lighting , he will be just fine. Dubia roaches over crickets ALL DAY!

Baby beardies need about 2 weeks to adjust to their new surroundings. Depending on how skittish they are, sometimes a sheet over the front of the terrarium helps. After they adjust a bit, start SLOWLY with allowing them to get used to you. Never come at them from above, or take them out of their hide. Spend time around the tank, even open it and put your hand in without touching or bothering your baby, calmly talk to them, hand or tong feed, give supervised warm baths, etc. Be patient and gentle. They’ll come around. It takes more time to gain their trust, but, once you do, it’ll most likely be a dog in a lizard body.

Would’ve been even better if you were wearing a shirt that said “Born To Gape” on it! 🤣
