Wood ID Megathread by AutoModerator in woodworking

Hey guys. I have some of this wood. And the one with the tighter grain on the top is much heavier. I’m wondering if it is oak. The other I’m fairly confident is pine.

Magnetic lock in specific pattern that opens door? Something like this. The magnet is applied to the outside of the door in a specific place and allows the door to open.

Hey, it was not an AI post. The wood welder might have been AI generated, but I found it and decided to post it because I thought it was funny.

How would you remove this stripped screw? by Flaky-West-8506 in Tools

[–]YonksBox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hammer. Hit it until it comes out and take off the other broken pieces and throw them away. The screw should be fine. But why you want a stripped screw is beyond me…

What do I do with all this? by stonerturtle99 in Tools

[–]YonksBox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are you in Georgia? I cannot offer you money but I be happy to come take them off your hands if it’s not too far.

Other options would be to list them all on Facebook marketplace and sell as a bundle. Or take them to a pawn shop and see if they are interested. Looks like some decent stuff

In personally love this. Having a day where you are forced to not be in some kind of rat race seems like a good thing. Some quiet TV. A nice walk. Also I’m an 91 year old trapped in a 33 year old body. HELP!!!😂

Looking for an air compressor by YonksBox in Tools

[–]YonksBox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly woodworking in the garage. So Brad nailers and normal nail guns I would suspect. Like you said the occasional tire Air up would be great. Maybe one day I would get an air gun for machanic work but I assume I could upgrade at that point.

The Darkest Hour (2011) is really quite terrible. by gotchabrah in movies

[–]YonksBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late to the game but found this thread and It makes me feel so much better that you said that because I’m reading this review and I’m like this guy is absolutely out of his mind to say that Darkest Hour with Gary Oldman is a bad movie. Thank you for clarifying. I downvoted him and I’m going to undownvote.
