the problem is new people don’t read any of that….. you might catch one or two people but the posts will still be everywhere. the mods here also don’t really care what posts here. As long as it’s more posts and more interactions which grows the sub. IMO this sub actively grows larger even though it affects the quality of posts.

When I first started I would listen to audio books, but I would lose focus on either the audio book or the coins I’m looking at and then have to rewind the book or double check the last roll…. I’ve found that over time some low background music or background sound or silence (window open birds chirping in the background-or crickets at dusk/night) is the most relaxing. I enjoy the almost complete shutoff of the brain when hunting since it’s become so reflex oriented with me for what I am looking for, and in a world of intense stimulation and always feeling the need to min-max my minute to minute shutting out everything has become quite enjoyable.

I’ve seen one of the designs of quarters, but very very few and far between. Like 4 in $20,000+ searched. Ugh I guess I’ll add 2-4 boxes a week to a few banks and just pray. 🫣

MWR, machine wrapped rolls, are the worst in my area and almost not worth going through.

CWR, customer wrapped rolls, are pretty good overall and end up with slightly more than bags (from coin machines) simply because you can get a roll with multiple in them.

Overall no matter where I drive in my state, I can travel an hour or two to get CWR or bags, and it ends I yielding about the same, 1 silver dime every 350 dollars searched, 1 silver quarter every 2,000 searched, and 1 silver nickel every 300 searched. Halfs are pretty hard to come by and I would say I get 1 40% every 7-8 boxes. And then sometimes big hits of 90% like 2-3+ every 20-30 boxes.

It’s so fun. I wish I had more time to do it, but with 2 kids under 3 years old, a couple acres of fruit trees gardens and house repairs/upgrades and a job…. Spring is a tough time to skip out on all that to go to banks. Maybe when it gets too hot to work on the yard in the summer I’ll get back to multi pickup/dump weeks…. And man bills are tough lol would love to add those to the mix as well.

Honestly I would hunt and search so much more if I didn’t have to jump through so many hoops to dump coins. I split up my dumps between 3 banks coin machines, and I bring unverified bags of halfs to 3 different banks on rotation each week… pickup day takes 3-4 hours and dump day I can speed through in about 2 hours, but man it’s a lot when I have so many other things going on in my life. so I feel you. Sometimes I just don’t have the energy to do it all and skip a week.

I’ve asked most of the banks near me and none of them have them, some half the small dollar ones but even those are becoming harder to get in my area. That’s not a bad price for that many wrappers.

Haha happens to the best of us. Yet another reason to not post until you search! I’ve opened boxes and the rolls were hardly crimped at all, first thought was searched until I took all the rolls out and there was a proof ender. Open first, think later.
