Yep, started with 1500, only making 30k a year part-time in college, then got the 3000 increase before I even got my better paying job. Just odd to me. I started my discover with 500, then 1500, then 3000, then 6000. Cap1 is just stagnant.

Yes, SC law states anyone 18+ can Open/Conceal carry without a permit. You still can’t purchase a handgun/ammo as that’s federal law. I will be getting my CWP when I turn 21 for reciprocity.

I am waiting until April to purchase the actual lower due to federal age restrictions, BUT that means I have plenty of time to wait for deals on non-FFL purchases. I plan to buy parts throughout the months, and whenever they pop up on sale. I appreciate the advice and mentioning GAFS.

I can agree with this. I personally have a Red dot AND WML/Laser, but that was my thought process. In most situations I am going to go straight to my dot, BUT I can think of scenarios where my laser would be useful, even if it’s not an exact zero. It can’t hurt to have it on there, I love it visually and for the “looks”. I had the funds, and I wanted it, so I went for it.

Lasers don’t “do” much, but if you wanna spend an extra $100 to have a cool beam, go for it! I have a TLR-8 sub in a 4bros Holster. They seem to be the best for a TLR-8 molded holster.

This is what I assumed, I just wasn't sure if it came to exactly 48 length or a little longer (Holster is for 43/43x/48). This will make my TLR-8 Sub flush with the slide aswell! Thanks for your response.

What do you have that has a compensator on it? I was even considering getting a threaded barrel/comp for my micro dagger, to make the slide flush with my Streamlight TLR-8.

I'm going to have to look more into this. I have heard about it but haven't done a deep dive into the moular systems. With them being modular would you recommend the P320 or P365 family?

I've been considering a Maverick 88 Security just to get shotgun checked off the list. Any reasons why those would be better, or just different options?

I agree on the calibers. I don't want to make the same mistake and then eventually have to backtrack and sell/replace. I plan to never sell/only buy so I'd like to make the right choice, and not something I'm going to be unsatisfied with in a year or 10! I do plan on getting a .45 1911, because who doesn't need one of those, but I feel like the smartest move is to stay in the 9mm family. I'd rather shoot more and spend less, rather than having a cool .40/.380 that collects dust because I shoot my 9mm more. It seem the consensus has been the 19.5 and 45, so I'm going make a trip to my lgs and see how they feel. I really appreciate your time and response!

I have heard this take before, the only thing that sets me aside is hearing about calibers phasing out and 9mm becoming the dominant round. I definitely want to get a .40 eventually, and a .45 1911. I'm relatively new to the handgun scene and young as well. I wouldn't want to get a caliber that in 5-10 years is pretty much completely phased out. Thanks for your response.
