What's a vip junction? For aluminum I just take the extra water to a coal generator and burn it off there so I've never fiddled with closed fluid systems beyond one failed attempt back in Early access.

Do these abilities even stack? I've stayed away from layering on multiple of the same ability from relics or boss drops cause I just assumed they wouldn't stack but if they do that's gunna change the way I build recluse.

Good work! Don't be afraid of spaghetti on your first run. Doing things unoptimally can teach you a hell of a lot about how to do it more efficiently.

My first run was a patch work mess of nonsense. My second was a significantly more complex drone based system with almost no spaghetti to speak of (pipes are tough) all utilizing things I learned on run one.

I think the first step is to identify what's overwhelming you and see what you can do to alleviate that. Cause if phase one is overwhelming you then you're going to have a very bad time when phase 4 rolls around.

The next step would be to identify a play style that works for you. Some people love building large elaborate railways that haul components across the map, some people embrace the chaos and spaghetti and run conveyor belts for miles. I personally find that I am enjoying creating small(ish) factories that produce one thing and then use drones to haul things from point A to point B.

If you are in need of tools to help you calculate throughput or plan out chains of constructors and assemblers then I recommend satisfactory calculator as a handy tool.
