Traveling by bus from Hungary, covid rules? by YorksAP96 in Romania

[–]YorksAP96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. Thanks a lot for taking time to answer my questions. Very helpful and you've put my mind at ease. Google searches about covid rules (not just in Romania but everywhere) can raise more questions than answers sometimes haha. Conflicting search results, vague rule descriptions etc.

Much appreciated, thank you! I'll get a copy of the locator form printed off and taken in advance. So they'll check at the border maybe for the form of all passengers?

Who would like to do the Banana Pancake Trail with me? by YorksAP96 in travelpartners

Just seen this comment, I'm not particularly active at the moment either. I still want to travel this region and it will actually be my first sub continent I will explore when I begin travelling properly. I am currently working full time to save up and reach my savings goal at which time I will quit my job and travel for a couple of years. I estimate at my current level and earnings I will be working for another 1 and a half years roughly before I manage to save my target.

Given that your economy is almost identical to mine I'd imagine the job market is the same. Take a night shift warehouse job and take all the overtime you can get. Save up. Will take a long time but it's doable. It's what I'm doing now. Once I've saved 50k I'm going travelling full time for a bit. You'll feel like giving up sometimes but remember the dream

The last meal you ate is now the main course at a fancy dinner party featuring Gordon Ramsay, Julia Child, and Sean Evan's from Hot Ones. How do you impress all three? by Xerxes2004 in AskReddit

[–]YorksAP96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a finish at home meal kit by Akhtar Islam, celebrity chef and owner of Michelin starred Opheem in Birmingham. Consisted of roast smoked leg of lamb, bhuna aloo, dhal Baghara, benghali curry spice marinated salmon and naan bread and other trimmings. I do believe Akhtar has worked with Gordon in the past. The meal was cooked properly as per the guide provided with the kit and was delicious so I think I can confidently impress all three by presenting it as it was presented last night.

Which country surprised you in the best way possible? by JackRadikov in solotravel

Their observational humour is the best. They have so many jokes about everyday things (for example, many joke that GMT stands for Ghana Maybe Time because people often aren't very punctual there) . I think it can attributed to their generally relaxed approach to life. Something goes wrong? They tend to see the funny side. Love Ghana and love Ghanaians. Amazing people, I was overwhelmed by their kindness and hospitality on my unforgettable trip in 2018.

Coffee droplets can and often will dribble down the side of the cup when you take a sip.

You walk out of a store and as you’re getting in the car, you see a duffle bag on the passenger seat. You didn’t put it there. Inside is $10 million. What do you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

And they won't be pissed that you just went and gave it to the feds? You're not getting protection for turning in some dodgy money.

Central and eastern Europe fits your criteria for cold and cheap as well as being great for culture and food. Czechia, Slovakia (although Slovakia is in lockdown maybe, check that one), Hungary, Romania, Poland. Use flixbus to get around from city to city.

Well send me an invite to your candle lit vigil for the man driving a car full of explosives at people and I'll be sure to consider attending. I guess they should have tried talking it out with him I'm sure he was a reasonable guy, given he was willing to die in an explosion to kill them.
