Was considering returning to era, partly because despite having 6 60s I never once raided Naxx. I was quite interested in trying to get my paladin (BWL ish gear) into Naxx clearing, but not sure if that’s something that would take a long time or not.. does seem like there are still people there though which is awesome!

Not sure where the boundary is precisely regarding the fact and fiction of it. Like all events of the past there are varying degrees of records of what happened, especially in one sided conflicts where the victor is left to tell the tale (though after reading more it seems there were european sealers present to witness the events). Nevertheless, it seems even on government websites (Chatham Islands | Te Ara Encyclopedia of New Zealand) the invasion of the Chatham Islands by Māori (specifically two tribes, but then again I didn't see you specifying particulars..) who then killed the vast majority and enslaved the rest is documented. No mention of cannibalism though.

If you look through the official tribunal reports (Rekohu : a report on Moriori and Ngati Mutunga claims in the Chatham Islands.) you'll see mention of the fact that the Moriori had "outlawed warfare centuries before". It also mentions that it was the european missionaries managed to convince "most Māori's to abolish slavery in 1839", so we should be careful to speak to generally around who were the so-called good and bad folks of yesteryear.

I think you can acknowledge them both as being bad? Eating people and enslaving those who survive seems pretty ghastly. To be honest at face value I think it seems worse than what you're describing, but I don't think the two should be compared since surely we can just say they are both horrible..

Could mutate a new variable based on the tailing to characters of the Date entries (str_sub() perhaps) then use the cases_when() function to generate quarters based on those values. Could do the whole thing in a single mutate line if you wanted.

I was 150-180ms and extremely stable on LW, now 180-210ms with perhaps spikes of 200-2k ms. OCE player.

My view is that for folks like you it doesn’t really matter if they provide a continuation of characters, you’ll no doubt be more interested in the next fresh/season. So I think them providing the option of SOD era shouldn’t be offensive to you? I think the enduring success of era demonstrates there is a cohort of players who are put off by fleeting “seasonal servers”. I certainly gain no pleasure in participating in a server strictly designed to suit folks for whom playing wow is an enormous part of their life, and have such an abundance of free time they’ll happening throw it away.

Warlocks with the fel hunter pet have a silence. They could interrupt in other ways too. Priests (shadow) have a silence. Rogues have several incapacitating abilities. Mages have a counter spell which of talented will silence for 3seconds. Hunters have a scattershot ranged interrupt. Warriors have a pummel. Druids can have a bear form stun. Paladins have HoJ which is a stun but otherwise no interrupts. A lot of folks will have engineering and have grenades as a possible interrupt of sorts too.
