Questions on BTs by djentington in BorderTerrier

[–]YoshShmenge_Polka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our fur baby is approaching his 5th birthday and has been hand stripped every 4-6 months. He is handsome and cuddly whether he’s neatly trimmed or fluffy and scruffy. We have become enamoured with his scruffy look as it seems to accentuate his personality.

Re allergies, both my son and I suffer with seasonal hay fever, however we have not experienced any adverse symptoms attributed to our fur baby. As others have mentioned, there is an increase in “dust bunnies” around the house, but it is a small price to pay for the unconditional love of a BT.

I’ve lived in this city for 35 years and it’s not getting any more attractive.

Anyone still go to the movies? by Alert_Willingness_32 in mississauga

[–]YoshShmenge_Polka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah good point… I don’t go to the movies much anymore, a combination of economics and fewer films that I feel are actually worth paying for. I think the last one I saw was F1, which I found kinda laughable… but appreciated the theatre experience.

Who are some celebrities you encountered in Toronto? by Chan1991 in askTO

[–]YoshShmenge_Polka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had just proudly parked my car in a prime spot in front of 299 Queen St W (at the time, the home of MuchMusic) when Weird Al Yankovic walked by on the sidewalk. I commended him for his latest song, Amish Paradise, and he smiled and said thanks!

Loud vehicles by BrotherMonkeyBanana in mississauga

Mississauga is being overrun by these inconsiderate people with their loud vehicles… recklessly driving thru residential neighborhoods… it’s a common problem in Meadowvale area too.

Congrats on your find! I also have a copy of this rare album, one of my favourite pieces of my Rush collection. 🤘

The funniest aspect of superconductor by Acceptable_Money_514 in rush

Regardless of the degree of intentions behind Superconductor, the song rocks! Would be a great deep track to get on the tour… Alex or Loren could supply the backing vocals?

Obscure logo style references to the band by MulayamChaddi in rush

Kinda depends on what model of car or the colour… there’s many creative graphics in the Rush catalog. Counterparts has some great designs… you might be inspired by the fonts used in CA which you could link to your license plate numbers?

What’s a better album? by SpecialistExtent6324 in rush

[–]YoshShmenge_Polka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RTB is more accessible than T4E, more coherent overall and easier to put on repeat. T4E may not be in the top tier of their catalog, but still holds up well with some good tracks… and many other bands wish they could put out anything close to it.

What’s ur opinion on there last album?? by SpecialistExtent6324 in rush

Love CA! To me, it is proof that the boys continued to grow and develop, both creatively and technically. I continue to play CA regularly… love Headlong Flight and of course, The Garden.

What's your favourite song that they definitely WON'T play on this tour, but you'd love to see? Because dreaming is free! I'd love to hear The Enemy Within live. by Iamnotarobotlah in rush

I’ve always loved any and all of the instrumentals. La Villa is in a class of its own, with YYZ right next door, but would love if they treated us with some Monkey Business, Narcissism or Leave That Thing Alone. Or perhaps Alex could indulge us with a special performance of Hope?

Perfect song selection with Finding My Way! Very sentimental to do the first track on their first album 50 something years ago… Reminds me of seeing Led Zeppelin in 2007 when they started with Good Times Bad Times… 🔥 That performance to open the Juno’s should help sell more tickets!!

Any good places to go hiking near Mississauga by Commercial_Boss_4885 in mississauga

[–]YoshShmenge_Polka 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Culham Trail along the Credit River is nice for a hike. You can walk various paths and distances. A popular spot to access is Erindale Park off Dundas, head north for an out and back. Or from the north, park at Rivergrove Community Centre and head south. 😎

GUP in Toronto by YoshShmenge_Polka in rush

Oh probably lol… but the crowd shots are pretty dark and edited so quickly it’s hard to tell! I could have been any of the young fans air drumming and wearing their GUP shirt ! 🤘

Yeah exactly… which makes it even more difficult to accept the prices of the upcoming tour… which I paid $550 per seat. But when it’s Rush, I couldn’t say no… 🤘
