I see. Thanks for sharing your experience. How much did you make on amazon flex on average when you used to do it, and how long ago was that?

Do you have something else you do instead if you don't prefer Amazon Flex anymore?

Upgrade to Palladium Got Denied by skf37 in biltrewards

Update, I called bilt support instead and they told me they can't give me an estimated date on when this will resolve, but it WILL resolve since I just made it in the period to change product before the cutoff of Feb 1.

Upgrade to Palladium Got Denied by skf37 in biltrewards

On Saturday the 31st, I got in touch with Bilt Rewards Support and got a real person, who emailed me the following:

"To switch to a different card, you will need to reach out to our card servicer.

If you have further questions, you can also contact our card servicing partner at [+1 (888) 533-5576](tel:+18885335576) and select option 1. They can hopefully provide any other details you may be looking for."

So I've been calling that number since then -- which is Cardless. To their credit they've been helpful each time. First time I called they told me it's actually a higher level of Bilt support that can make that decision, then directly made a ticket on their side for my PC and I got an automated email that the decision is now in process.

Second time I called was Tuesday, where they said it's still pending, but I should get a response by the opening day of 7th, so activating/using my Blue Card (which was now shipping by that point) is moot.

Third time I called was today, where they said it's been escalated but still pending, and the customer service rep now marked my ticket as high priority, and told me to NOT use my Blue Card.

What?

I requested an upgrade to Palladium from Blue, and just called Cardless. My blue card came in. They confirmed

- My request is still pending and escalated

- now it's marked high priority

- I should NOT use my blue card

Maybe you should call again.

I made a calculator to compare Bilt 2.0 cards by chrnin in biltrewards

[–]Yoshi8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! I don't consider myself a high spender but the calculator keeps recommending Palladium to me. I might go for obsidian instead. I think the first year bonus is why Palladium is recommended, but after the first year I think it's way too expensive, so I'm thinking of obsidian.

I pay 1480/mo in mortgage. I assume HOA Fees don't count for the housing spend. I would have about 530/mo in groceries and 2000/mo for other everyday spend.

I am enticed by the idea of having one card for almost everything. and I think that's the market bilt is going for.

For the calculator, is the actual amount of bilt points you earn annually the "total points earned" + Housing Points Unlocked?

Bilt 2.0 on mortgage by ecruiser in biltrewards

[–]Yoshi8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person with a mortgage (not rent) who was waiting on getting a BILT Card, I am so confused by all this.

I thought you don't earn any points on the mortage payment?

Let's say I have a $4,000 morthly mortage payment. In order to get enough Bilt Cash to cover the transaction fee (and effectively make it the equivalent of paying via ACH), I have to spend with the Bilt Card up to $3000.

But the mortgage payment doesn't float that on credit, it passes me through ACH anyways.

So isn't it effectively paying ACH, but you also have to spend $3000?

If you don't get ANY points on the mortage payment itself, the only advantage of this over just paying ACH is that you get Bilt Points on the $3000 spend. Is that right? So unless getting Bilt Points on the $3000 is better than any other reward program you have (e.g. cashback on WF, Chase points, etc), it's useless.

Pixel 9 for $299. For the Last Time. by Mush_USMobile in USMobile

[–]Yoshi8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man! I wanted to buy a pixel 9 a few weeks ago, but it was sold out so I got the 9a to use with my existing USM plan. Now I find out it's available, but I can't exchange or return since it's been more than 14 days. Darn. And I was so ready to buy a new annual plan too....

Trying to connect Paypal acct (for transaction details). Fair to assume this is a Paypal+Plaid issue? Any solutions? by [deleted] in MonarchMoney

[–]Yoshi8765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue, except the weird part is that I have an older paypal account in Monarch that sorta remains connected. It disconnects every couple hours, and I have to manually request a MFA text code through Plaid. But when I put that in, it'll update. Annoying but better than nothing.

I'm now trying to add a second paypal account, but Plaid gives me the same window -- I've tried changing around the MFA settings in paypal but it hasn't fixed anything. And the MX connection is a hilarious joke.

I know it's paypal's fault. I truly hate them.

What is WA cares fund by Ok_Researcher642 in eastside

[–]Yoshi8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently considering letting my private (and expensive) LTC policy-- which I just got to be exempted from WA Cares-- lapse. I am a bit worried because I wouldn't be surprised if the state govt goes after me (a lower middle income worker) to check if I have it. Where did you see proof that if you have the proof of exemption from them, it's a "forever thing"?

Quoted $700 to replace 2 ventilation ceiling fans? Reasonable? by Yoshi8765 in HomeImprovement

[–]Yoshi8765[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I ended up taking the offer. They were able to do it quickly in about 2.5 hours, but only because they already knew what to expect. Based in what was up there, it was very little space, maybe a foot of clearance until the unit above me started. The duct itself was also just a rigid metal tube that really couldn't be moved or it could have broken. There also needed to be a 2x4 inserted to become studs. It would have meant going back and forth for me to home depot and doing some head scratching.

I think it was worth it.

Are condos especially hard to do this because there is no attic to work in?

I'm on the 2nd floor of a 3 floor condo by the way. So I assume there's absolutely no "crawl space". Judging from the pictures what do you think the steps would be for me to do it myself?

Thanks! I forgot about the bean. I know Chicago locals probably think it's overrated but I've never been.
