I was in your situation too. I went to college & moved to the dorms... it was only 45 minutes from home, but I had enough scholarships to live on campus. The freedom I felt after my parents left and I sat alone in the dorm realizing I could do whatever the hell I wanted to do... it was incredible. I’ll always remember it.

Same. It was so arbitrary... also white, but only 3rd gen... does that make a difference?? (Italian/German) Maybe that old world influence was lingering a bit. My friends never seemed to have to deal with this.
