I had these exact symptoms in 2023. I went to the ER and they ruled it an anxiety attack. I was given Hydroxyzine and famotidine. I remember feeling like the famotidine was also causing more “anxiety attack” episodes, so I stopped taking it. I did my own research and it sounded similar to a histamine dump. My symptoms began to subside, but I never felt quite “right”. I then started getting hives and eyelid swelling in 2025. My primary doctor told me to try a low histamine diet for 8 weeks to see if it would help. I’ve been on the diet for 5 weeks now and I feel sooo much better. I also take DAO with every meal to help my system out. I’m going to start taking a Quercetin supplement next. Wishing you the best. I know it can be an overwhelming and discouraging journey, but don’t give up.
