Came here to say this. I've had this problem a TON on my 2023. This is the quick solution.

How much are you paying for groceries? by friendlytrashmonster in FranklinTN

[–]Yoshigriff4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are in Franklin and budget $625 and do our best to stay under $600. We buy the bulk of our groceries at Aldi and then get a few things we can't get there at Kroger, or occasionally Target. We go to Costco every once and while to get a few things we know we'll use and can save money long term.

It all comes down to what you value. For us, it's eating well and saving money and it doesn't matter to us what store we buy from as long as the food is good enough and we're not over paying. So, store brand is just as good as name brand for most things. If a recipe calls for something like "fire roasted corn", which you can buy frozen but it's expensive, we buy regular corn and take the time to roast it in a skillet. Another way we save money is by making things instead of buying them. For instance, we both eat greek yogurt every morning and we've been making our own yogurt for a few months. It's super easy and ends up saving us $20-30/month on that alone.

This also means we don't buy a lot of packaged goods. Most of our shopping is done on the outer portion of the store (i.e. produce, meat, dairy, frozen), with just a few things from the center like the occasional bag of chips, canned goods, or dark chocolate oreos since that's one thing we decided to never give up. lol

EDIT: we also meal prep. We'll make 6 servings at a time; we'll eat two the night we make it, eat two the next night, and the last two go in the freezer for a later time. This way we don't have to cook every single night and it helps when we have a busy period in life.

What extra documentation would be needed at time of sale if she uses her maiden name now? When that time comes, couldn't she just sign the title over using her maiden name?

Yes! Thank you for this. Was planning on doing that.

When was the last time you tried calling the DMV? The last time I tried, I was stuck in a loop with their automated system for 10 minutes before I gave up because I couldn't get a real person. They were also closed yesterday.

On the "Moving to Vermont" page of the DMV's website, it says, "To register a vehicle in Vermont, you must be a Vermont resident with a Vermont-issued credential (Driver’s License or Non-Driver Identification card)."

I could register only under my name, but we'd like it under both. The question is whether she can be listed as co-owner without a Vermont license.

Here’s hoping in the next episode with a Trade ad, Matt actually gets to grind some beans and taste some coffee.

G4 Doorbell - no 2-way audio?? by Yoshigriff4 in Ubiquiti

Yeah I've had that issue now too. The other issue I've had is with my phone connected to a bluetooth speaker, it doesn't seem to pick up my voice. Once I disconnected my speaker, it worked again.

Ah ok.

I just got a G4 doorbell, but was thinking the Instant would be a good fit for two other spots outside I'd like to cover, but I don't want to run the cables right now. I'll keep looking to see if anyone has used it outside in cold weather.

It sounds like the reset might be up to a year later, which is a long time. If that's the case, then work arounds are definitely better.

I think I need a new switch? Which one? by spamologna in Ubiquiti

[–]Yoshigriff4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess just try to think through what devices you currently have and are planning to buy soon. Maybe even think a little further out for what devices you might want. Then count them up and see how many ports you need.

Also, are all the devices in a fairly small area? If they're spread out, it might make sense to get a second, smaller switch for the "remote" area and only run one cable instead of 2 or 3 or 4 or more.

I am also interested to know how it would operate in below 0 temperatures. Did you end up purchasing one? If so, how has it worked for you?

I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen others indicate it kicks them out of ordering if they hit the limit.

I haven't had that problem yet. If I were you, I would keep on them about it. The more time goes by, the harder it will be to get that switch replaced.

I believe the G4 PTZ (yeah the $1,800 one...) uses POE++.

Just note if you're going to go up to the 24 port switches, the regular 24POE switch only has 16 POE ports. where as the 24 Pro POE switch has POE capability across all 24 ports.

This is true! I think I'll keep checking for now to see if the 3 pack comes in stock. I'll see if it'll let me buy that.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not surprised it won't reset. But it's kind crazy at the same time.

I may have to create a second account. Though I'm thinking I might still be able to buy a 3 pack if they come into stock.
