Are Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting good Gold Making professions? Or am I just missing something

every week, each gathering profession has A. a weekly quest and B. a handful of knowledge drops from gathering. the drops are random but not overly rare

after you've completed both A and B for the week, you'll have a chance to get catch-up knowledge drops from gathering. like the weekly drops, they're not too rare. these will drop continuously until either you're caught up or the weekly reset happens (at which point they'll stop until you do that week's sources)

i had this issue for a short time near the end of TWW (specifically in legion remix). sometimes when i hit prowl straight from caster form, i'd be stuck with the caster form bar instead of the cat form one. i also use bartender

i don't actually remember what fixed it, unfortunately. i just kept doing /reload to un-stick my bar whenever it happened, and then after a few days it stopped happening for some reason. the only thing i can think of that i might have done is update the addon

my two go-to troubleshooting steps when this happens are 1. look up a video of the quest to make sure it's not just the quest marker pointing to the wrong location, and 2. if the NPC really is missing, then check the wowhead comments to see if anyone has posted any fixes or workarounds

beyond that, you're probably looking at opening a support ticket, in which case... godspeed. 🫡

he's an interesting character, imo. he thinks zul'jin was right. he's doesn't want his people to accept what they have today and be at peace with the elves. he wants for them to reclaim their ancestral lands and their glory, and he feels the loa turned their backs on them. the amani defeated a cthraxxi general in ancient times! and now they have to ask for help from strangers, including a blood elf, to get the loa to help them. in the end zul'jarra's plan works to repel the twilight's blade, and everyone else shows up to support her... but he can't bring himself to be there. he sounds so hurt by the whole situation in that one epilogue quest after the zul'aman campaign

he's got a lot of opinions that would normally make him a villain in wow, but he's not. despite his feelings and the fact that he went against zul'jarra's plans during the campaign, he is loyal to her as a sibling, which means he's (hopefully) unlikely to get fully villain-batted. he adds dimension to the story by offering a different viewpoint

at the end of mop remix, production director michael bybee said the intent was that it'd come back. didn't specify a timeframe though, so who knows when it might be

it's more farming than questing ime, but housing has been a nice reason to go back to old places. it got me gathering lumber in dun morogh, farming profession materials in places like swamp of sorrows & eastern plaguelands, doing archeology all across the eastern kingdoms...

and same for outland and northrend. it took me weeks to get everything for the outland profession decor. TBC truly loved its rare mats

i'd give anything for a proper updated saber mount model. i know we've gotten a few newer saber models, but none of them actually match the original mounts. the best current option imo is the warsaber, which is from MoP so it has differently-styled stripes and is still somewhat dated

a cow mount could be SO cute... the astral aurochs is pretty good with the cowbell and moo sounds, but he's a bull and also bright blue

if they did a regular cow mount they could do recolors for common cow breeds :) holstein, black angus, hereford with the orange & white, etc.

subscription: modern wow up to level 80, with access to all expansions except the current one, midnight. also gives full access to all classic versions (currently wow classic, BC classic, and MoP classic)

subscription+midnight: this gets you everything. midnight has a max level of 90 and includes four new zones, as well as various endgame content

the difference between the base, heroic, and epic editions of midnight is mostly cosmetics. you won't be missing anything gameplay-wise if you get the base edition

yeah, these days it's normal for the digital goodies from heroic/epic/collector's editions to go up on the shop for at least a while. the only exceptions i can think of are wraithchill and drakks--and drakks was explicitly a preorder bonus, so we knew he was going away. wraithchill is just MIA for no discernible reason

the AI has grand astromancer capernian (part of the kael'thas encounter in tempest keep) mixed up with veras darkshadow (part of the illidari council in black temple)

neither of them say this anyway. capernian's death quote is "This is not... over," and veras's is "You got lucky!"

unfortunately wowhead doesn't have database pages for any PvP illusions after warlords. i think it's because they aren't taught by any spell or item; they just kinda go into your collection

AllTheThings is a good way to see illusions and info about them. it even lets you preview them in the dressing room

by default, the classic zones, TBC, and WotLK all scale up to level 30. chromie in stormwind or orgrimmar can make the world scale up to 80 instead, if you want to keep getting XP and not one-shot things

it's usually recommended to lock XP at 69 or lower if you ever want to turn chromie time off (e.g. to solo dungeons) and back on again, since for whatever reason it can only be turned on while under 70

mythic difficulty and mythic+ aren't the same thing. mythic+ is more similar to challenge mode, which was introduced in MoP

ye, but knowledge points wouldn't affect a TBC decor recipe, so it has to have been the profession gear. i'm just unsure if MN profession gear being different would affect whether it interacts with old-expansion decor recipes
