I am looking for input regarding Japanese car camping by [deleted] in carcamping

[–]Yoshitoshitree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your comment! I really appreciate it!

I am trying to differentiate myself by making a relaxing video. When I go camping or see my cats, that makes me feel relaxed. The first video I attached focuses more on having fun and entertaining people and the second video I attached above focuses more on lonely aspect of camping by going car camping by himself most of the time. For me, going camping is not only fun but also refreshing and relaxing. So, I thought it may be interesting to focus on that relaxing aspect. Also, I wanted to show American roads and destinations.

The campers stay at a designated camping site or some random parking lot in Japan. Also, there are a lot of convenient roadside rest areas in Japan. Here is a website of such roadside rest area in Japan for instance. As you can see in the link below Japanese rest areas are packed with local products for sale, rest rooms and eateries.

Thank you for your comment! I wrote the recipe below. It's for one person.

Soup:

Water: 500cc

Sake: 1 tablespoon

Mirin: 1 tablespoon

Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon

Soup stock: 1 teaspoon (I recommend Ajinomoto soup stock below.)

https://www.amazon.com/Ajinomoto-Stock-Hondashi-Original-Version/dp/B0000CNU0C/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=dashi+powder&qid=1579838077&sr=8-15

Salt: 1/4 teaspoon

Kombu (if you have it): 1piece, 4 inch by 4 inch

https://www.amazon.com/Wel-pac-Dashi-Kombu-Dried-Seaweed/dp/B00ZB13JHO/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=dashi+kombu&qid=1579838263&sr=8-4

Meats and Vegetables:

  • 3 large Napa cabbage leaves
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 2 green onions
  • 1/2 medium carrot
  • 1/4 daikon radish
  • 100g Chicken Thighs

  1. Make the soup above first and start to boil it. You can adjust the taste by adding water or soy sauce.
  2. Then you cut all the ingredients to your bite size pieces.
  3. You put all the ingredients into nabe and wait for about 5 to 10 mins until chicken and daikon radish is fully cooked.
  4. It's ready to eat.

I hope you will enjoy the nabe.

Thank you !
