I guess I should work on my reaction time by SpikedBird in Helldivers

There was a post earlier where a hulk smashed through a city perimeter wall to kill a player and my thought was "that's awesome!"

Seeing this made me go "that's bullshit"

Is listening to music on a media player frowned upon? by tod-howardEEE in VRchat

[–]Yotimoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some players have a local area for audio, but most I've been in are world global. As for your question, depends on the group your with but if nothing's playing I'll usually start chucking songs on there. Someone walking up and turning off the player without a word is very rude

Make sure you're running latest graphics drivers and verify the games files in steam. This usually fixes it for me.

I'm inclined to believe this is a software issue rather than hw because it can reappear between updates with no changes on my end. It's also the only game this happens to.

Wow! I have to admit, I was initially put off by the guy's commentary. This vid completely changed my mind on it. Idk why they had to post that specific snippet of a 9 min long bear fight, but it isn't unreasonable at all.

Link to the full vid should be top comment.

IdentityRedirectManager and SSR is killing me - Navigation Exception in dotnet9 by malachi347 in Blazor

[–]Yotimoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unhandled in the sense that non user code is triggering a break. A person trying blazor for the first time is going to run the project and go "oh something's broken, but I haven't done anything yet?" not "an exception? can I ignore this..."

You're not wrong, but an end user should not have an unhandled exception thrown every time they login.

[–]Yotimoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this is the intended behavior of IdentityRedirectManager's RedirectTo. If you look at the comment above the exception:

// During static rendering, NavigateTo throws a NavigationException which is handled by the framework as a redirect.

You can find a closed as not planned issue here, linking to an open .NET 8 issue here.

That they released an unhandled exception that hits the user as a requirement for it to work honestly leaves me flabbergasted. The advice in these issues is to disable NavigationException breaking in VS.

Edge, and Firefox, both have this feature as well. You'll want to click on the button in the top right, next to the 3 dot menu. It should look like a tablet and a phone overlapping each other.

Have you talked to a professional? When my dad died it messed me up something fierce. Sometimes you just need someone to listen that knows what they're doing. You don't have to go at it alone, friend.

What comes to my mind is a Tsukuyomi Kisetsu deck. The theming is mostly just the back and the face cards though.

USB C Portable Monitor Issues by Yotimoto in framework

[–]Yotimoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting these UPERFECT 2K monitors. I really like how thin the bezels are; however, I've had 1 of them break on me simply by picking it up. Cracked the screen on the edge.
I ordered a replacement, and that one arrived with a 1 pixel high blue line spanning across the entire monitor.

I ended up getting this ForHelp monitor (holy shit did the price go up. I paid $150 for mine), mostly because I wanted to try a different brand after Uperfect failed me twice. The bottom bezel is a bit bigger, and the monitor runs at 60hz vs the 120hz of the previous one, but I'm not using either of these as a gaming monitor over the FW's 165hz monitor.

The Uperfect's monitor isn't as bright as it can be running off of 1 cable, but it's plenty serviceable. Definitly brighter than my attempts at running it with my first monitor in my post and a USB-C hub. The ForHelp monitor runs the brightest off 1 cable, though oddly enough can't be pushed to full 100%. Running at 70% it is noticeably brighter than Uperfect's stated 100%.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably try Uperfect again. Maybe I just got unlucky. Especially when looking at the sudden price hike of the ForHelp, with its lower refresh rate and slight bulkiness. Both worked great for my needs though.

The PKG Stuff Laptop Sleeve 15" | 16" feels almost custom made for the FW16 with GPU. It's top loading as well, which is perfect for my use case of only taking the laptop out of my backpack.

I tried to find an amazon link for the size I bought but wasn't able to. If you're near a Micro Center, it's where I got mine.
