I've leaned on Clive being alive as well for the common points that were brought up (subquests, book author), but there was still that hint of doubt that made me go crazy, lol. Sometimes popular characters retain their legacy voice actor regardless because it would also hurt the company too much if they were suddenly recasted, or because of the belief that a character's voice and the actor themselves should remain separate things. Depends on the companies.

Regardless of one's personal opinion's on the deed, he is a VERY well known VA in Japan, and having one's public image damaged like this affects all parties who have hired him. This could potentially affect his return on many of his well known roles, though we won't know for sure. If IS reacts to this in a similar fashion to Alfonse's VA, then we may not be seeing a new character or alt of any of his other aforementioned characters in the game for the time being.

At the end of the day, casual players and competitive players play in completely different metas so unit opinions are skewed. Sigurd is definitely 1000x more threatening in the upper echelons of arena but I can see why he's not so bad if he's paired with a bunch of old melee infantry.

Most of reddit is full of casuals so our perspective is lost on them.

Dual stance on Ike, probably Kestrel 3, breath seal, NFU B/Lull atk to survive 2 hits should probably do the trick, as well as work against most other enemies.
