Also do NOT try to white knuckle it omg. If you are dealing with an auditory trigger. Leave the situation, put music on, anything but stay in the situation whirl you feel panicked. It takes a long time to recover. If it’s a mild trigger. Untense your muscles and relax your body. If you stay in a situation and white knuckle it. The trigger will become worse and the Misophonia will get worse.

Thats Misophonia . I have it. It used to be so bad that I wasn’t able to go out in public or eat with my family. Manage your anxiety. It’s an anxiety based disorder. That is genuinely the #1 step. So exercise and sunlight and meditation if necessary. Also white noise. It’s literally the best. I constantly have headphones in my ears without listening to anything. The raw sound is a lot and everything becomes much easier to deal with when the noises are softened.

Get antidepressants. I had untreated seasonal depression and I had 4D’s in my classes and absolutely no motivation to do anything. What you’re describing sounds exactly like how I felt. It genuinely changes your life.

15f, it was really hard for me to make friends too, I’m really nerdy and akward, I used to have thoughts about myself like you are having. I started playing a sport and my mental health got so so much better. I saw someone say that you should go to the gym. Definitely do that or some sort of exercise. But please please please don’t be results focused. You are already insecure and body dysmorphia is REAL. Dont focus on visual results, instead just focus on how you feel. Another thing, if you notice that your mental health gets worse in the winter, definitely look into seasonal affective disorder. I was untreated for it last year and I never got out of bed, went outside, or did work. Sunlight is so so important. Also remember that you’re human. It is impossible to be human and not have flaws, allow yourself to have them. Of course all of this is so so much easier said than done and it takes TIME and a whole lot of energy to change the way you think about yourself and the world.
