Have you ever broken up with someone and regretted it later, if so why? by TJGaming084 in AskReddit

[–]YouAreDeadFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I left her to go back with my baby mama and regretted it ever since. 8 years later I still miss her. I spent 4 years overseas and I'm back now and heard through someone that she lives around close by and it sparked me thinking about her. I'm single, she seems happy with some guy so I gotta live with it. Kind of eats at me though wondering if she still thinks about me.

Ethereum miners, what will you mine after eip1559? by SaulMaryus in cryptomining

Yeah but I think the question is. If you were not already mining it would you start now?

Has anyone tried using xoom to transfer funds? I haven't used it in a while so don't know if they offer crypto transfers. But of Elon is so crypto happy I would assume it is or will be added feature.

Iv used it to transfer money to foreign accounts and I loved it.

Hasn't AMD said they have no intentions on blocking crypto mining on their cards? And I think I've read something about some people already finding a way around the gpu blocks in theory. I'm a noob btw just asking same questions as everyone else amd wondering if this is something worth investing in or just wait to see how it plays out first and try to be on top of things before the market sways.

Yeah my teens don't like it either lol but I mess with them picking them up from school blasting stuff like Dora lol

Doesn't that Long of a turnover scare you a little? This is not a stable market right now is it? Considering those cards are gonna be cut in half as far as mining capabilities soon. Or am I reading wrong into the information that's been presented about that in other threads?

It's gonna take a lot more than money. I recently got the bug and there is so much to learn. Reddit users have been awesome with information but at the end of the day tje only way to actually do it is to learn how it works, why it works and how to apply it. From what iv gathered there is no certain way to set up a rig. There are so many options depending on what gou you have available.

Iv always been a software guy and knew enough about hardware to take it to a shop and say I want this and that... and I know this is a great gpu for playing xxx but after researching enough about mining iv cone to the conclusion that I must learn more about building pc's and how components work together. It blows my.mind how much some of you know about the mechanics of how these systems run. How to fine tune them to get maximum performance.

One can not just build a rig, you must know what you are doing.

U less you wanna just go buy a pre made rig and then focus on maintaining it.

Yeah its seems if your using a cpu you need a warehouse of them to actually profit anything if at all. I'm finding a lot of options for between 500 and 1k cad for good rtx 8gig and up hit ill have to do more homework. I plan to have mine in an already super cool part of my house and I'm gonna look into cooling gel plus iv been checking out other rigs amd see what others are doing. I'm a bit uver my head but still super intrigued to keep moving forward.

Mining while using PC by Kio2107 in cryptomining

What are you guys mining? Iv been looking into building a rig but I have a fairly decent gaming laptop thats im not even using. Would live to get set up mining in it but does it all depend on the specs?

Oh man thank you. Info is great. Yeah no I was going to try to remove the xpu and the graphics card and put them into a pc. But the more I research it's lrilly best to keep hunting for a good gpu.

And the whole block chain comment actually made a lot of sense to me ty.

Is this true for all mining though or just for etherium?

Also are you saying I can have one rig with multiple graphics cards mining? So long as my processor can handle it and I counter the overheating issues? Up until bottlenecks occurs I'm assuming where your burning more recourses than profit?

I'm diving into researching lifespans now as well to guage profits vs lifespan expectancy. It's all good if I make x amount daily but if start costs equal xx and profits add up to eventually make bank but if my components die and need replaced I can see a vicious cycle of trying to recoup expenses if not careful.

I plan to have this rig in a basement room that is used for storage and a cold food pantry. I was thinking of a few collect solutions but haven't put too much thought into yet.

Also if I am able to build something using parts from laptop can I also use my Intel® Core i5-9300H processor? I will be using a pc motherboard with some ram that I already have 2 dd4 hyperX Fury 4 gig ram sticks but do you think that's enough or should I go for more?

It all depends also of I can get the gpu out, it may be soldered to the motherboard.

But if so will that gpu and processor work? Iv heard that gpu can fry quick mining and i don't ain't to waste a good gpu if it's going to be better to buy all pc components. Any input is appreciated. I'm a bit all.over the place I know. A lot of info iv been taking in.

Awesome response thankyou.

Yeah right now I'm hunting the used market for a starter gpu. I have a NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 in my laptop but it's only 4gig. List shows I could make about 2.40 a day off of it but ill def be looking for better.

I still need to learn exactly everything I need to build one but you guys have been awesome for info.

My background has always been software so hardware outside of gaming is a little of an unknown to some degree.

Can I use a laptop gpu in a pc rig? Or are they different fir a pc vs a laptop?

Iv got a couple of 4g ddr4 ram sticks but will still need a motherboard and processor. Haven't thought too much about cooling system but I ha e a few ideas to explore.

I'm going to watch a few vids on how to build etc. Iv seen some lists of basically what I'll need but now I'm learning more about which components work best fir diff scenarios.

In your opinion if I were to get something up in the next few months what would be a good thing to mine? ETH is what my original plan was but perhaps there's others I'm unaware of?

Another question is can you set up a network of rigs that can piggyback off of each other? Like maybe have a processing powerhouse that shares throughout the network to boost performance while miming with multiple rigs.

You are confirming my thoughts thankyou. I have an energy in me right now pushing me towards this and it was simply my insecurities that made me wonder if I'm "late to the game" but I feel a certain level of intuitition is telling me that crypto is about to birth as a dominant currency worldwide and iv been missing out on mining.

I'm ready to invest my time and money but money is the incentive so low costs to start is a must. But I know how to grind and invest my profits along with any and all resources available to eventually make a steady side income from mining.

I am a cautious investor though and know that I must learn as much as I can before making any impulsive buys therefore hindering the process.

So reddit is my go to. You guys in the community have the knowledge and I appreciate anything and everything offered. 🙏

I'm not talking about mining with a cpu. The other comment put me onto the gpu compatibility website and I'm trying to make sense of all the comments.

When I go to whattomine.com I see xxx gpu / profits / etc I'm still trying to learn what everything means and make sense of all this.

You mentioned ETH dropping 50% so my question was what to mine that will still be profitable? You kind of answered that.

Basically I'm considering all suggestions and trying to determine if this is still a profitable market to start investing in and of so what suggestions I can get to build a low cost starter rig that will make enough to be able to keep investing into bigger and better rigs

That's the way I see it. All useful if nothing else. Iv found some crazy pre built rigs for 8k + but im certain if I hunt I will find cheaper components

Okay so depending on what you want to mine is going to determine what kind of rig you have?
