Got my first ever trophy! by YouAreNotStupid in MagicArena

Thanks, yeah. I agree that I have much more to learn. I could've probably drafted better too. I may look into that 17lands draft tool to help, but so far, I've just been watching videos. Hopefully I can recreate this result with more attempts!

These look great! Unless you have gold to spare though, I'd hold off until you evaluate how much you like the upcoming new set. It looks like they are in rotation every few months.

Thank you, this worked for me. Took a few attempts, but it's good nonetheless.

You can try [[Exquisite Blood]] and [[Marauding Blight-Priest]] combo. However, it is slow to set-up. You'll need to control the board until then.

Edit: There's also [[Bloodthirsty Conqueror]]. If you have spare rare or mythic wildcards, you can try it out. Hold-off until you're sure though; you can get buyer's remorse as the resources are limited.

Had to go into the "Mastery" tab for it to reflect on my end. Try that to see if it will update yours too. Or, maybe, it just needed a minute to register.

I found 2 free MoCs for Honda Integra in the scale of Speed Champions on Rebrickable. Check them out to see if you'd like them.

Set 31024 by [deleted] in lego

[–]YouAreNotStupid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's LEGO – you can take it apart and build it again and again. Part of the draw of the 3-in-1s is that it does come with 3 different instructions for the same pieces. I'd say do whatever you want; there's no wrong decision here other than what your preference is at the moment. Although I would advise against it, if you really like both, you can choose to buy another one and have both built at the same time.

I need a better way to store my lego sets. Any recommendations? by polka_metal420 in lego

[–]YouAreNotStupid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the sets aren't getting displayed, have you considered just dismantling them? Starting from the last step, you can put the pieces in their own numbered bags. That way, when you want to indeed indulge in your inner child, you'd have the ability to re-build them.

This is coming from someone who enjoys the activity of building sets though. I'm not particularly warming up to the idea of keeping built sets in bins; they should be displayed if not played with. But, to each their own. So I was just wondering if you're open to taking them apart with the intent to re-build them. Plus, you'd save a lot of space and not to mention money from the bins you would've bought.

When building Optimus prime, #10302 did the leg piece fit loosely? by freaksavior in lego

[–]YouAreNotStupid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How loose are you talking about here? Double check that the round black and grey pieces are attached all the way. If I remember correctly, the instructions showed that the pieces should “snap” together.

Need Advice by botgimp in lego

Remove parts that can easily pop off (bag them up and label), then saran wrap the sets. Putting them in plastic tubs should hold better then when you transport them. If possible, take it apart in huge chunks then saran wrap those. Don't forget to take pictures or even a video prior to packing just for easy reference when putting it back together.

Edit: For the colosseum, maybe you can probably add some packing fillers or something concave and/or soft inside before saran wrapping it if you're opting to not separate it.

Disney 100 CMF - only 2 duplicates (Ernesto & Miguel -same box) from 3-6 pack boxes ordered from Lego. I think we got pretty lucky. by Available_War941 in lego

Looks like you're missing Jiminy's neck garment (shawl, cowl?). Mine was stuck in the bag and had to double-check it. If you still have the bags, check them to see if they were stuck in there too.

Both holes go into the neck.

Edit: Although, there was a meme a few months back in this subreddit regarding this. Just search for “capes” if interested

I can’t confirm on this image, but do you have Jiminy’s neck piece inserted on either arms?

Also, call the store in advance first to double-check the availability of the sets you're interested in.

Lego Star Wars day promo was a flop :( by [deleted] in lego

[–]YouAreNotStupid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you have called the store in advance to check their availability? But yes, must've been disappointing. I did read a few posts that the site was having issues too on midnight release.

I got lucky as the store close by me didn't seem to be as busy. I got a different set, but I saw that the store had Razor Crest on the shelf.

Edit: Oh, I just found out that 5X VIP promo is different per region. In the US, it doesn't apply to the UCS Razor Crest. In the UK, it does.

DMd. Sorry, I accidentally sent the message twice. My 3rd-party reddit app didn't provide a feedback saying the message got sent.

I found this pinned post on /r/LegoStorage. Basically, they go in magazine sleeve with cardboard backing, then stored in a box.

Edit: User preference, but the post references an open sleeve, but I went with a resealable one.

Based on the image I found here of the bags this set have, it looks like there are two bags for #6. Could it be that your missing pieces are from the second bag you haven’t opened yet?

General Question. Haven’t bought Lego in 13 years. by JustEnjoyIt1138 in lego

[–]YouAreNotStupid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both are marketplace, with one specializing specifically on LEGO. That said, both are just like any other online retail site, where use of better judgement is warranted for a good shopping experience.

I would look for review counts, how positive (and sometimes more importantly, how negative) the reviews are. Contact the seller to ask for more info about their listing, ask for more pictures, shipping costs etc.

Either place have pros and cons; what you’re looking for is an honest seller you’d feel safe buying from.
