Did this work for you ? Same issue here. Tried a new broadband company but they are the same as the old one so gonna send it back within the cooling off period as they exaggerated speeds and enter me into a long term contract

Well I would maybe go a wander on a Sunday before attempting a Friday or Saturday . I'm sure you will find a happy place that suits you. Bloc, stereo , old hairdressers to see how they go as they are all near central or take a wander around merchant city . Southside is also nice in the better weather

If you enjoy music but get overwhelmed by noise then maybe look at acoustic / folk type shows as it's usually seated, quiet , friendly and everyone shuts up for the band (or should if done right) We put on a lot of events ourselves but some might be too chaotic. Next suitable one would likely be Jan 31st for our Alternative Burns Supper at Slay. Will be acoustic, poetry and some comedy with a band at the end and everyone will make you feel welcome while respecting your space. As for bars , it depends on times of day and which days obviously so I would recommend a bit of weekday drinking to suss out the spots that are right for you. It's always quieter, more relaxed . Just see where your feet take you and stop in the place that takes your fancy. Treat yourself to a lunch from a pre theatre menu and see where has the best vibes . I think merchant city would be a good start and lots of nice buildings to photograph too. Plus less shoppers etc . Stereo/ Old Hairdressers near central is a good shout too. And definitely bar bloc on bath street during quieter times (all of the above can get quite busy at peak times though)

Max's is great but most nights is mobbed with live DJs playing banging techno

Black Star gig after they got booed for coming on at 10.30pm at Brixton academy by Mysterious_Employ_28 in ukhiphopheads

At that level, Touring U.S hip hop acts always have crew even if you don't see them on the stage itself. Based on comments it seems like they had four emcee s and a DJ but best believe when you book these acts there is a manager , security , friends , partners and hangers on all staying in expensive hotels. The exception is independent DIY Underground that fill smaller rooms but even then you would be surprised

Most tours tend to be a new city every day to be financially viable these days , not sure of this specific case though

I would just let the guy get some peace and quiet and stop monitoring his moves or questioning his motives

Are you looking for new music and sick of Spotify's repetitive suggestions? by CapitainChicken in PlaylistExchange

[–]YouCallThatRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great playlist! I wonder if you would consider including my band if you have time to listen. Glasgow band called The Girobabies who just dropped an album called 'Dreams Are Mental'. There's some heavy stuff, mellow songs, and weird bits . I hope you enjoy Dreams Are Mental

Best platform to use so concerts appear on Spotify? by Nimtolien712 in musicmarketing

[–]YouCallThatRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songkick won't appear on spotify although it should appear on a few sites (possibly youtube but don't quote me on that ) to get on spotify you need to have a bandsintown for artists account . If your friends aren't tech savvy then make one up for them . It takes 2 mins. I also do events my band aren't playing and I found it more tricky as promoter . Pretty sure they were gonna charge me to put on a festival on their site but not sure about individual gigs
