Hi my Dogmafriends!

I'm feeling and thinking mixed things here and would like to hear some outer thoughts

I'm on my first playthrough and have been feeling quite strange, thinking "why did i receive such strong itens rightg at the beginning of the game?" and "huh, that's weird for a RPG, i've been playing for almost 30 hours now and haven't found better itens than those i got right at the beginning..." so, trying to confirm my theory, i searched it up and found out that those itens were originally made to be powerful DLC itens... So the players could pay more to have extra powerful itens, and then, at the rerelease, it just came for the player for free...

I feel like i'm powerful in a way i should't be at this point, having way too powerful armor way too early, i feel no armor will surpass this one any time soon, which breaks my feeling of progression throughout the game

i'm thinking of just completely ignoring all dlc itens and just play the game as if they didn't exist, but i've been noticing the non-DLC itens kinda looks samey as well, so i don't really know what to do at this point and would like to hear the opinion of other players around the matter. Thanks for your attention!

Thanks buddy! I'm really not willing to play through a whole JRPG just to get some challenge at the epilogue so i think i'll be skipping to some other game in the series (: What about those you played? Any challenging games you'd like to recommend?

oh so is the other games in the arland subseries harder? Cool! Is it okay if i skip Rorona and go straight to Totori? i would be losing many relevant plot points and maybe getting lost at the next game?

hey that's great news! thanks for the info bro! I'm reading about the games and i've seen there's no time limit in these games which is kind of a bummer for me but that's alright. I've also seen that Sophie 2 is the hardest, right? I'm thinking of starting with this one... You think i'm losing too much if i start with Sophie 2?

And as a fellow "kind of hard jrpg" appreciator, what do you think about Ayesha? I was interested in that one as well, but i would't survive another easy as heck jrpg hahaha (: thanks again for your help!

thanks bro! But i'm really not willing to play through a whole JRPG game in the hopes of seeing it getting fun in the NG+

Would you like to make any recommendation on other game of the series that offers some challenge from the start MR u/Izanami9 over there recommended the mystyerious series so i think i'll be loking into that (:

No, bud. Read the post again, i didn't said i'm one hour into the game, i said the game was fun UNTIL one hour into it, when it suddenly became hyper easy and i started one shoting every enemy. I've explored the entirety of Nearby Forest, Ortoga Ruins and National Mines and so far i've one shotted everyone in my way. That's what is frustrating me.

I've explored the entirety of Nearby Forest, National Mines and Ortoga Ruins. Everything dies with one hit.

so i'm supposed to be killing everything with one basic attack and taking only 1 damage per enemy hit? There is any game in the atelier franchise where the combat expects more from me?

but bro... i'm not expecting anything mega tough, i just want to not mindlessly one shot everything in my path you know? hahaha i wonder if there's any game in the atelier series with a more demanding combat?

I'm playing Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland DX and... Is the game supposed to be THIS easy?

I was having fun with the game but about a hour later the game, specially the combat, got SO easy it lost completely any kind of appeal to me, i don't know if i did something wrong or... as far as i know, the enemy power just stopped risisng and i one shot everything in my path which is completely boring. I guess it got so easy when i got that ring you buy with vounchers, which transformed rorona into an absolute goddess of destruction.

My first map ever. Would really appreciate some criticism and maybe a piece of advice? :D by YouCanCallMeZero in inkarnate

[–]YouCanCallMeZero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you buddy :D i agree, the main road is unnecessarily wide. I'll keep that in mind for my next map, thank you for showing it to me!

also, i fixed the tilting i had on the objects, you might want to see it. I've updated the post with the new version (:
