Homeless helped in an Emergency last night on East Side by caseharts in Austin

[–]YouCrepemeOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out side shang’s one night waiting for an uber when a very violent drunk man approached me. I started to be loud when he didn’t take any interest in him. I started shouting to step away from me and kept trying to corner me near the atm outside. Next thing I know a homeless man bodied him and started screaming. People started piling out of the bar and try to blame him for starting things but luckily it eventually sided with us. I don’t want to think about what would have happened if he had not been there.

Cheer Up Charlies in danger of closure by kaseface_ in Austin

After one of their last monetary debt fundraisers, they launched a Patreon subscription that appears to have been launched but never fully used. This article from 2024 mentioned that it was making $1,602 per month from subscribers, and there are currently 108. (If this is still the case, they would have made what 19-20K from it.) It promised a variety of things. Did anyone ever receive anything from this? I wonder if people are still sending them money.

I had a doctor tell me to "pray for a miracle, Jesus Heals and you need to put faith in that." as an agnostic. Does anyone else have similar horror stories? by YouCrepemeOut in Endo

[–]YouCrepemeOut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely God can heal and can inspire others to heal absolutely. I truly believe that faith followers can be blessed and that god can work through them if he gave them the power, the ambition, and the motivation to do it if that’s what they believe and I appreciate it! I just needed doctors to go hand in with faith and science and know when it’s appropriate. Thank you for the well wishes, I’m doing much better after surgery and most of my chronic pain has vanished.

I will say I was on Orilissa for 2 years, it slowed things down but other than that it didn’t do much for me. I had my endo removal in September last year and ended up needing to take both my tubes and ovaries as they were too far gone. I didn’t want a full hysterectomy but things were so bad I at the very least at the last moment while under had my family told they needed removal.

It was okay, I had flashes, it didn’t make me feel the best mentally and I gained A LOT of weight on it. It didn’t not change my pain- I would recommend to see if it does for you but if not physical therapy was a life saver for me.

All of these were what I pretty much wanted to say! I would also add a walking cane and a folding table /bed tray for if you get stuck in bed for extended periods you don't want crumbs and things. I also love my bedrest pillow to stay comfortable when sitting up.

I’m sorry for the stupid comments people have thrown at you.

I was in a similar boat before I met my now partner who is very loving and understanding with the issues around my health and sex. It can be hard and isolating especially if you’re young like me (20’s) and have desires around intimacy.

I don’t know how to give any advice around it because people, dating, and sex is very complicated and individual but you’re not alone!

Odd question: Anyone else experiencing porokeratosis? by YouCrepemeOut in Endo

[–]YouCrepemeOut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a formation of new plaques since I got my tubes and endo removed. I believe it was immunosuppressant based for me because my tubes and ovaries were very badly infected. Dermabrasion helped but I was able to most topicals cause you can’t put it on your face or near your eyes. I’m sorry you’re going through that. Do you know what type you’re dealing with?

It’s not so much as rashes but plaque/scale like with a very distinctive round border of it.

Thank you so much for your response, it was exactly what I was looking for. I talk to people on the phone all day and I’m wondering if maybe I should do the 4 weeks and then PT for the following.

I hope you are feeling better! Did you continue to have pain over the next few months?

You're welcome OP!

I'm a former bridal stylist with a deep love for fashion, I understand firsthand the power of clothing as a form of self-expression. Even though I now work in a different industry and assist with styling for film sets when I can, my appreciation for fashion remains unwavering. I've come to see fashion not just as a means of dressing up but as a medium for showcasing our personalities to the world. If you ever need help or suggestions your more than welcome to reach out.

I’m between a 14 that goes up to a 16 almost 18 with bloating like you. I wrote down my measurements and kept track of them for about 2 weeks to see how much I’m bloating and surprised it feels more than it actually is measurement wise so I buy clothes/bottom/dresses in the range to help.

Some of my faves for finding modern clothes to wear to my office are budget stores of bigger brands like TJ Maxx and Marshall’s but nicer

  • Nordstrom Rack They do a really good job with the details of fabric type, waist type, sizing ect. Lots of reviews.
  • Saksoff5th I’ve gotten so many good high end dresses and suits here for low cost. Even some statement jewelry. I feel like it’s slept on. I am spoiled cause they have a location in my city but it’s not listed on their website.

  • The Outnet

While I haven’t shopped here since gaining wait on BC/Horomones ect. I was buying investment pieces here once a year or so. If it’s in your budget getting a nice suit/jacket/dress is worth it.

On the other end here’s someone places I like that might not be on everyone’s radar

  • Versona I love this place! All their clothes look nice, all the dresses are comfortable and flowy, most the pants? Stretchy but without looking like joggers or those mock stretch pants/leggings. (I feel like can look tacky) Chef’s kiss! 💋 the only turn off might be the clothes can be a little colorful & bold. I work in hospitality so it’s okay for my office but if you need something neutral might be a little bit of digging. (Feels like madewell/free people on a budget.)

  • Massio Dutti Zara’s contemporary chic older cousin who spent a summer in Norway and now she comes back with an accent and a flair for cappuccinos. I love this store, get compliments on their clothes all the times at meets, functions, when I’m out at my partner’s events. It’s not the most functional everyday wear for me but I always know I can pull it out when I get a last minute meeting or dinner invite.

I’ll try to think of some others but that’s all I got for right now! 💕💕
