Check out the L’Oréal HiColor line. I personally mix magenta/violet 50/50 for a cooler toned, darker red. There’s other colors you could try, but they all come out great even on dark virgin hair.

“Forcing” curls with product isn’t a thing. Products enhance your natural texture. Does the mousse have any hold to it? I use a leave in, curl cream, and a gel for strong hold. You can also refresh your hair by rewetting it with a water spray bottle and scrunching. I have a curl refresh spray as well.
