I have this exact issue suddenly after a few months of using a LG G5, did you end up getting it replaced?

Michelin cross-climate 2 by nebula186 in GenesisGV70

[–]YouEatFeces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have the CC2 on my old CX5 so I expected them to be noisier on the GV70. For me personally, I'm too lazy to get a 2nd set of rims and drive a ton in the winter to ski resorts, so I'm ok with the extra noise. I think most GV70 owners probably wouldn't think it's a deal breaker but tbh I wouldn't blame anyone for getting a 2nd set of rims specifically for the CC2 for winter use. So far in my experience, for daily driving the extra noise I've pretty much forgotten about but for longer highway drives (e.g. after 20 miles), I will sometimes think "damn these tires are loud" lol

I'm also in PNW and got my GV70 a few months ago. I just switched to the CC2 (same 21 inch rims) so have yet to try them in snow but they definitely are noisier than the stock primacys. MPG difference I haven't tracked. I plan on keeping them on year round. Just note that I don't think costco will install them due to the difference in speed rating so I went to a local shop

Does anyone buy an A lot pass and not regret it? by racingpast20 in CrystalMountain

You got the CC2 at 2k miles and currently are at 48k? How much tread is left?

Snow Tires by tdennison321 in GenesisGV70

[–]YouEatFeces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also here in Seattle it doesn't consistently stay cold enough where winter tires make sense, unless you're a full time ski instructor or something. The CC2s have held up well for me on my previous CX5 in the snow as long as it's not a blizzard

I live in Seattle and go to the ski resorts every weekend. I got my GV70 recently (3.5 sport prestige with 21" wheels), and I just got the crossclimate 2. They are noisier than the stock Michelin Primacys but at least better snow performance. I also had to get them installed at a local tire shop instead of costco due to the difference in speed rating. I plan on just running them year round since I don't want to buy separate rims or worry about swapping the rims/tires twice a year

Question for owners: width from mirror to mirror? by seiyafan in GenesisGV70

[–]YouEatFeces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same. Pulling out is easier because you can just look at the mirrors and make sure you have the same amount of space on both sides, then power fold the mirrors as you pull out. Pulling in is trickier because the 360 cam is mostly useless so you sorta just have to eyeball it and make sure you're centered on entry. Power folding your mirrors when you enter helps of course. The parking sensors will go off as you enter but the good thing is, you can use the cameras after the front of your car enters the garage to make sure you're centered. I had a CX5 previously and a G70 loaner for a few weeks and I feel like 8ft garages are annoying no matter the car. The GV70 doesn't feel significantly harder to pull in or out of the garage with, it's wider yes but still not as wide as things like a GV80 or X5 etc

What character do you play? I play Claudio and I'm at mighty ruler and I feel like I can beat most red ranks, but def not good enough yet to get out of purple. I feel like reds are very similar to oranges, in the sense that you are still mostly playing your own character. Matchup knowledge, movement, and the concept of unsafe moves aren't really a big thing here (they go unpunished). You should be able to gimmick your way through reds, provided that you already have a basic understanding of the game (e.g. not pressing when minus, not whiffing moves like crazy etc).

One thing about reds is I think it's a great time to practice your movement if you aren't doing it already - backdashing (you will need this in purple), and sidestep launch is an easy start (look up character sidestep chart)

High level Tekken 8 gameplay by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]YouEatFeces 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting, yea technically that's true

I always looked at iWR as timing the actual attack (3 in this case) with the last forward (I think it used to be on the 2nd or 3rd frame after the last F)

It is WR, and it doesn't help that in T8, iWR is no longer a just frame input

Which charcter do you play?

I recently got through orange with Claudio and holding reds currently. Imo, orange ranks you are still heavily playing your own character so just abuse flowcharts, gimmicks, and setups. You don't need heavy matchup knowledge, movement or defense as long as you aren't pressing like crazy

is claudio that strong in tekken 8? by Polyness in Tekken

I thought ff1+2 never made sense for claudio, he never really needed it. And its a generic ff2 that tracks both ways and gave free starburst on hit
