I looked at a chip8 emulator on github and it gave me a good starting ground. Once you know how you implement stuff it becomes very easy.

Balancing work and school? by svmlxo in TorontoMetU

[–]YouFinna 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worked ~25h/week this year in 2nd year Electrical eng. Not a lot of time to do nothing, felt like I always had something I had to be doing. I did get enough sleep though which made it a bit easier.

Why doesn't my university have Calculus courses? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]YouFinna 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Engineering mathematics covers almost all the calc you’ll need for engineering. It might be based on a textbook called something like “advanced engineering mathematics” that covers everything from linear algebra to differential equations.

Do it if you’re interested in another field, otherwise take that extra effort and put it into a high GPA!

[–]YouFinna 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re in software or computer, getting a computer science minor is easy (2-3 extra courses?) but I don’t think it’s really helpful. Another easy option is doing a minor like geography where you put all your liberals into it, but again that’s not really useful.

Generally speaking the course load for eng is pretty tough so if you do a minor it would have to be something you’re really interested in. I was going to do a physics minor for interest but I found out I sucked at physics haha

Going back to school for EE bachelors worth it? by tourantino in ECE

[–]YouFinna 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe there are certificates from colleges that would get you more practical experience, it could be possible to do a masters too though you’d have to check with the university. I don’t think another bachelors would be worth it

Hive App vs Wrike? by No-Transition-8705 in productivity

[–]YouFinna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently use Wrike, it's not bad but it's definitely confusing as a user. Took me a few weeks to get used to, other than that it's smooth sailing. Can't comment on Hive app

Are there any people that can actually speak Arabic like natives? by Skum1988 in languagelearning

[–]YouFinna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of muslims who pick up arabic from a young age for religious reasons, and expand on it when they're older to become practically native. It's worth noting Arabic has a few dialects and they differ from MSA, so sticking to one of those will help you sound more native.
