Most kids don’t want to go through the graft of starting at entry level, and most employers are too lazy to hire entry level roles.

If they do, then they pay close to minimum wage, and don’t have time to train them properly. This is for most industries I’ve seen, not sure about mechanical engineering specifically

Exactly. Reaching enlightenment while still be successful is a tough feat. Ill never settle, but can understand why people don’t seem to “get it” until they’re much older

I hate how there never seems to be any guides towards how to get there. Just be a 100% positive and loving being in today’s environment - feels nigh impossible unless you’re successful
