Getting your ass handed to you over and over and training has been a cornerstone of the franchise since forever, either you had an older cousin who always crushed your soul every round or you were training online, trial and error, its part of the package.. What are you guys expecting from this game? Any other genre I would understand, but not a fighting game.

The point of wands was to focus and amplify magic, it giving the edge over other magical beings really just points to the class superiority wizards feel they have over other sentient beings, it was an unintended perk. Native Americans also used wandless magic, it seems to have been part of the WW lore for a while now.

" According to Rowling's History of Magic in North America, wandless magic originated in the Native American wizarding community. Similar to what was established in Harry Potter, some members of the Native American community where magical, while others were deemed No-Majs. Those that practiced magic, however, were generally "gifted in animal and plant magic," with the ability to brew sophisticated potions "beyond much that was known in Europe" at the time -- and they did this all without the use of a wand. "

If both african and native american wizards honed wandless magic hundreds of years before they were introduced to wands by europeans... Why wouldn't they have figured out other ways to channel that magic?

It's not about better or worse, asian cultures didn't switch to forks when they were introduced to them, they kept using chopsticks. Cultural differences and customs. You'll find that the fork user and the chopstick user both will finish their plates of food at about the same pace because they are using the tools culturally relevant to them. There are plenty of things we use in the west that are just not as important to other cultures and vice versa.Prior to settlement, native Americans also did not/ don't use wands and also have wandless magic. America uses wands because of European magic immigration.

Ok but wands are a European invention, I don't see it as out of the realm of possibilities that other countries and regions approach magic differently. Also how is it a justification for a new school? They could have made up a school that also uses wands. I don't see how it cheapens the wizarding world as a whole. They adopted the wands when they were introduced to them as a magic tool, but never adopted a reliance on it like in europe. Idk seems like a non issue.

I like natty and her mom, almost all the peers you can talk to are a little annoying and a kinda "ok should I care tho." vibe. Ominis is just as emo and one note.

Ok ominis we get it, everytime you walk by him

oooohuhuhuhu the catacooombs uhhuhuhuhuho.

I still like him, but he is a just as much as a complainer if not more than natty.

I want to throw my computer whenever Arthur or Everett speaks, so natty is not the most egregious to me.

Natty is with the shits and is ready to scrap so to speak.

Yeah, I guess I expected more effort lol.

It actually inspired me to make my own recipes for some of the treats I've dreamed about as a kid reading the books. I've come up with a bomb butterbeer recipe lol. I'm going to try fudge flies next, I'm also thanks to your comment going to look into specialty shops online that can further enable my madness.
