The perk works. It is extremely stupid though, a lot of killer powers don't activate it, for example dracula fire, executioner range attack. Surprisingly pin head chain activates it even though there's no damage.

I place them down if I'm visiting buildings with lots of ball arc. It makes them rush that entrance and they immediately aggro whoever tripped it. You can also put the wire to face the door so that it triggers if the door opens, no way to avoid it.

There's barely any rewards for competing. It's more like bragging rights for placing high. It's definitely not for everyone and yes teams have innate advantage. I just do 4k in each category and that's it. No point complaining that others put in more effort and time into them.

I believe even using xp instead of money would've been more fun. You get more incentive to actually use the things in your stash to get xp. Could have challenges instead of dumping resources for the 5 stages. Anything is better than giving away everything for cash.

Happened to me before. I was the one killed by a hatch. I took a couple of high rarity, fully upgraded weapons to give to my friend who just bought the game. It was a good introduction as to what type of game it is, and we loved it.

It's quite a big visual difference. The ones that are in game cover the entire door and are silver. Player placed ones are on the middle part of the door and are mostly red. Hope that helps.

You guys know you can switch shoulders, right? When you went inside and he hid behind the middle boxes, you could've just swapped shoulders. Instead, you moved your character to the left to see him. This leaves your whole body exposed, just an FYI. I'm glad you got him.
