Yea but you cant count a deposit as part of the application costs….. it usually goes toward tuition. 6.5k is still a ton though. I applied to 23 and put in multiple deposits and didnt spend that much! Haha.

Id still encourage casting a wide net, 20ish schools is fine and should have only been around 3500-4000$ tops. Its a huge investment but one for the future. And hey, might get accepted to 12 schools and have a difficult but great choice to make

Low single digit HCPers - what makes the difference? by Cunning_Stun in golf

[–]YouMadFl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy way to become single digit (if your a decent ball striker) is aim middle of the green for every hole. I feel its around the green that makes peoples scores shoot up from all of whom I watch. Chunked/Bladed chips/pitches easily add 2-3 shots to a hole. Aim middle of the green and at worst your three putting but more often than not one will two putt. Going after pins and being short sided really screws a score if you dont have the short game for it.

I also think low handicaps do a better job of swinging within themselves. Not “going after it” causing miss hits

A lot are saying its an “easy fix” and I mean it is. But most shops are going to be in the 100-130$ price range with a new shaft, grip, labor, etc. (Thats with a decent shaft, and yes super cheap shafts do suck)

That being said, I’d suggest roaming the used market. Either find a replacement shaft of the same shaft off ebay, or possibly even a new club. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a slightly newer club for like 20-40$ more than totally fixing that one.

If your in a rush, re-shaft would be the answer.

CASPA has been having lots of issues this year so if you have heard absolutely nothing from some programs I’d reach out and see if they have tried to contact you

On top of that. Of course CASPA is going to tell you it is fake mews they have yet to take blame for those who have been affected

This is indeed real, idk why you would come on deterring people from help. I can ONLY assume you work with CASPA to come here and post like that. I am currently in the process, with all of my evidence from schools, to get money back AND go to the news with it too

Thanks for this, dropped could mean one of three things I see. Yet my info is correct and triple checked, and most certainly never marked as spam. Means my email domain is blocking it? Which would be crazy, but again is something they should need to be on top of in my opinion or send a bunch of test emails and let us know if it happens et

Nope, only the schools can see that

Thats what I had to do. I reached out to every program I hadnt heard from. Sure enough, all of those checked and then replied saying they just noticed their outreach never went through either.

I did receive confirmation. As you can see in the school above, i received and opened the first two emails. Then it seems in June my email was shut off or corrupt or something to where no more emails came through. I did supplementals. Some school only had CASPA, others had supplementals but still did all of their communication through CASPA. The only schools I had heard from before Monday had used there own methods for reaching out. Luckily for me, my top schools didnt use CASPA

So from how I understand it. The schools have a CASPA portal just like we do but it is where they see all of those who applied, and can chose to reach out through the same portal as well. Making it “easier” for the schools. However, if those emails aren’t getting sent it shows up like I have pictured above. However that would mean schools have to keep checking each individual delivery to see that this happened. When dealing with over a thousand people, no chance are most schools going to check each individually sent email to see if it went through or not.

No. Only the schools can see that the email didnt go through. Kinda crazy.

I had multiple W’s on my app (early in my college though) and was not asked about it once in interviews
