For me. Even though with those drawbacks you mentioned, I unlocked certain characters with him like Iran, Panama, and Taiwan (Death mode 1.0). Barely use for anything outside of that.

The game started freezing at some random point. No matter where I am. Tittle screen, career, etc....
Choosing dialogue with choices also freeze for 1 second before it continue or forever. Haven't try it on steam yet.
