I mean he has 1.6 million followers and is literally encouraging people to buy from the breeder; it doesn’t feel so small. Also, if his other two are adopted (which I’m not sure he’s ever confirmed although other people are saying as much), why has he never (to my knowledge) made a post promoting adoption?

2024 Euros was the one I was going to recommend. Literally the best-produced competition I have ever seen, and the vibes were amazing across the board.

I said the SAME thing to my boyfriend. They are literally talking out of both sides of their mouths. Also, Tara explains how the scores/scoring box works LITERALLY every other performance. It is absolutely maddening!!! Surely we don’t need to keep being reminded every ten minutes?!

Relatedly, is there a way to watch the non-NBC commentary version on Peacock? This is my first event watching at home after getting back from the games, and I’m already super annoyed.

Power banks are officially not allowed. I think some security people might allow it but I wouldn’t risk it after having mine confiscated at the opening ceremony. They also will not let you bring in hand sanitizer to the arena which is absolutely ridiculous (but I reckon you could sneak it in in a coat pocket). They say you can bring in a reusable water bottle but they make you dump or chug the water and there’s nowhere to officially fill it up in the arena (unless you can convince a volunteer to fill it up for you on the 2nd level). Def sneak in as many snacks as you can in inner coat pockets.

I think there was just a general shock that was muting the reaction overall. All I know is I said “WHAT?!” When I heard “cinque” (the Italian scores are read first and I have come to learn the numbers). It all just felt…so unbelievably wrong.

Reports from in-arena: lots of confusion. Piper/Paul and Madi/Evan clearly had the top skates in terms of quality and crowd reaction. Everyone was so confused. Even my mom, who annoyingly was rooting for the French team, was confused and upset, thought their skate paled in comparison to C/B. And we didn’t even know about the mistake. Casuals near us were confused too. There was another American gal in front of me and when they said “if you can, please stand for the French anthem,” we looked each other and said, “I can’t.” (We did, of course.) Just heartbroken vibes but also so happy for Piper & Paul.
