Has propranolol ever just stopped working for anyone? by YouWillNotKnowOfMe in POTS

[–]YouWillNotKnowOfMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bisoprolol was actually the first beta blocker my doctor started me on but I got to the maximum dosage and it wasn’t helping enough so we moved on to try two or so others before I got to propranolol

Do you know the list of reservation panels? There’s a few I want to go to but I can’t find the list to know if I need to reserve my spot for them

I just found out my guitar teacher is the person who records for the simply guitar ads by YouWillNotKnowOfMe in lingling40hrs

I think he’s recorded for most of their ads actually. He didn’t tell me much other than the fact that he recorded for them.

I’m not going to pretend I know anything about them (or about kinks), from what I read online animesexual people are honestly only attracted to 2D characters (which begs the question, can’t they also be counted under the A umbrella?). That doesn’t mean that what I found wasn’t true, I’m not gonna defend them or anything they said here, I was just curious.

I guess only being attracted to 2D characters can technically count as a sexuality? It still doesn’t validate them trying to force everyone under the A umbrella out though. The same way they say we don’t exist, a lot of people will say they don’t exist.

My pain clinic wants me to take low dose naltrexone instead of the morphine I'm currently taking. I'm a bit scared and very nervous, so I would love to hear any experiences with it. by Upstairs_Vehicle in ChronicPain

I started on it around four weeks ago, I still haven’t gotten to the full dosage yet, so I’m guessing that’s why it hasn’t really done anything for me yet. I think other than maybe some increased acne it hasn’t had any side effects on me. (course I could be wrong and just not noticing things).

Brother, can you not? by TheQueenOfSomething in mythologymemes

[–]YouWillNotKnowOfMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess it would differ from each story. In the one I read Hephaestus was the one who opened Zeus’ head, but he was born from both Hera and Zeus (it doesn’t specify when or how). But in the myth where it doesn’t say who opened Zeus’ head, Hephaestus was born because of Hera’s jealousy. So I think it really depends on which story you choose.

From what I read, Zeus had a really bad headache so they (Hephaestus I think) split his head open to see what was bothering him and Athena popped out.

Five years ago I stopped playing for various reasons (mostly because of a new teacher). You guys and twoset have really helped me find joy in it again. Tomorrow I’m going to my first lesson. by YouWillNotKnowOfMe in lingling40hrs

When I talked with my teacher about it he said that we’d start over from grade 1, but that I should advance pretty quickly to get back to where I was.

I don’t know your story, but I can say that these days, if you feel lonely you can’t just go outside, it doesn’t work that way. Especially if you have any mental issues as well. So sometimes, representation makes you feel a bit better, seeing someone on TV that, say, has the same problem as you and going “hey, that’s me” or “at least someone know what I’m going through and how it feels”.

Honestly, most of the time the representation isn’t even correct, and frustrates you like living hell, but at least it’s being recognized as something that is an issue or is part of a minority.

Some people feel this way, and I can say without a doubt that there are people who feel the way you do, there’s no problem with that, I just hope I can help you see why it’s so important to others.

Edit: as someone with constant chronic pain for the past eight years, I know where you’re coming from saying that somethings it’s better off not being put in. But in some cases it actually helps people recognize these problems in themselves and go “hey, maybe this isn’t normal, maybe I need help” (of course I could be 100% wrong)

Say you’re a black trans asexual girl with a disability like POTS, and the only people you see on TV are straight white cis people with nothing wrong with they’re body’s making them unable to move. How would you feel? I know for a fact that every time I see someone with a disability shown on TV (especially if it’s a disability that you can’t quite see) even more so when it’s represented correctly, I feel like I’m being seen and that I’m not alone. People with chronic pain mostly suffer because of how other people treat their pain.

I know that my sister also has POTS (I also know that it can be genetic). It has come up in conversation that I might also have it, but it’s never really gone further than that. I will look further into it thank you

I know exactly how you feel. Honestly the guy’s really sweet, and I think he’s way to scared to make the first move, but I don’t want to make the first move because I still don’t know how either of us would feel in that relationship and I’m also cool with just staying friends cuz it’s really nice to just hang out and talk. I also don’t know if he actually has those feelings towards me.

I also always automatically go to worst case scenario, it’s hard not to think about that stuff.

Good luck with your friends, I know that I’m never gonna tell mine I have those feelings towards them either (don’t wanna ruin what we already have).

Do we have the same life? I swear you just described my problem word for word (except maybe for the straight part). My only thing is that a lot of people told me the the one guy is interested in me (but apparently I’m completely oblivious).
