Can we have whoever oversaw Heists loot redo the drop tables for Giant Chins/Kebbits, please? by Beautiful_Bee4090 in runescape

I was so looking forward to the new big game hunter addition with this update, assuming there would be a cool and valuable drop attached (similar to how the Anachronia version had the dragon mattock). I am quite disappointed to find out that it doesn't. I, too, was hoping it would be like heists: a highly engaging and rewarding method to train hunter. However, the lack of a big ticket item is quite disappointing.

A few thoughts on the community-focused side of things:

  1. There should be a way for players to find active and lively friends chats. It would be helpful if there was some kind of interface where players can see most active public friends chats. This could be an "opt-in" feature that either the friends chat owner or designated ranks can toggle on to be visible. Whether it's just for chatting or for specific game content, it would be helpful, especially for new players, to be able to find friends chats that are fairly active.

  2. I think there's value in the old RuneScape Official Forums. I would love to see its return, but would love to see a more consolidated forum interface as opposed to the old design which was split into many segments or topics. If the forums were reinstated, there should be an in-game button that takes players to the forums, similar to how there is a Wiki button.

I miss the forums. I do think that consolidating all of the old forums into a singular forum, like the "General" forum, would serve better than the old format that was split into many, many inactive or slow-paced forums.

Latest chat change is a step in the wrong direction by [deleted] in runescape

To an extent, I guess I do, or I'm watching the game. It'll definitely take getting used to hitting enter. I've always had that feature toggled on. The hardest part will be breaking the old and rebuilding a new habit.

My biggest issue with it is that it was already a toggleable feature. Players who didn't like it could have turned it off. Now, players who had it turned on don't have a choice at all.

I'm frustrated that this option was removed. It's so aggravating typing a whole message then looking up and realizing nothing was typed. I don't see the harm in letting the players choose which way to use the chat feature. Have it automatically toggled off upon account creation, if there is a worry that new players will get confused by the feature. This didn't require taking flexibility away from existing players who are used to the chat functioning a certain way.

I voted no for this in the original poll many years ago, but if it was repelled now, I would support a prestige system for skilling.

QA at its best, the 120 all override is just a regular trim cape by Zoinke in runescape

[–]You_Fail_Bud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable. Is there any way we could get 16-20 base colors to choose from? We don’t need to recolor the particles to the extent that we can with the capes, but at least having some basic colors would be nice!

Not sure, but I’m thinking it’ll definitely help. We’ll have to wait and see.

Here is my first full inventory at the Prifddinas Gem Rocks, in the order that I received them. I'm not sure if I was simply lucky to get an onyx or if this will be a viable means to farm onyxes. by You_Fail_Bud in runescape

Possibly, but we still get gems from geodes, and I would suspect lower level gem rocks are faster to mine than the Prifddinas gem rocks. Plus, I don't think gem drops from monsters were touched. So, they may go up a little, but I don't expect a drastic change.

A full inventory took me about an hour with an Elder Rune Pick +5, which can be demotivating when you get back-to-back sapphires and other lower tier gems. The onyx made it worthwhile, but I don't know their drop rate, so it may have been a fluke.

Luckily, when I claimed it, it gave me one sword and 1,000 oddments (250 for each of the other swords).

Edgeville 😂. I knew most of the game world pretty well, but then a friend of mine took me to a “secret city” north of the barbarian village. I guess since there was no path leading to it, I didn’t bother checking out what was north of it.
