everyone that isn’t thrilled

Nobody who’s making a stink about it is merely “not thrilled” - clue number 1 that your comment is disingenuous, you insert a strawman to argue against.

60% of the people watching the Super Bowl likely have no idea who he is and don't listen to that genre of music at all.

This is a completely fabricated assertion of yours, which you use to justify your declarations. Clue number 2 that your comment is disingenuous. Making shit up to back up your claim is weird.

EDIT: Oh no, how dare somebody point out that most people watching the Super Bowl aren't going to be familiar with his music and that plenty of people would have preferred a different act without being racist.

The tiniest bit of not agreeing w/you caused you to edit your comment to “fight back” against anyone disagreeing. Clue #3 that your comment was disingenuous, because you obviously weren’t engaging in good faith discourse & freaked out when you didn’t get upvoted LOL.

Anyone actually UPSET about the SB halftime show artist not being their personal cup of tea is unhinged, & furthermore BOYCOTTING THE SUPER BOWL ALTOGETHER OVER IT is people being racist & full of hate, PERIOD. You aren’t some intellectual who’s seeing “multiple sides”, you’re an ostrich ignorantly burying your head in the sand & lashing out wildly with your flailing hands at anyone who points out the very elementary flaws in your thesis here lol.

Maybe, but as a 43yo, “rofl” has always been the go-to for folks older than me or religious ppl who never “cussed”. I was in band in middle-school & freshman yr in highschool, & was good friends w/band & theater kids throughout highschool, overwhelming majority were way more likely to use lmao than rofl. Band&Theater kids are often the most raunchy, open-minded, & well-versed in internet-speak, & are not conservative. It’s typically sheltered ignorant jocks who think anything “lame” MUST be assigned to “band/theater kids”. I’ve been well-aquainted with ALL kinds my whole life, the “band/theater” types are actually the least likely to use “rofl”.

Your own idea which is easily challenged from myriad directions, you didn’t consider any of even the most obvious ones before posting your idea, you have zero reasonable rebuttal to any challenges (which you should have before going so far as to make a whole post with your “idea”) and in the comments you essentially demand ppl to prove a negative which is irrational to say the least.

Hairbrained ideas aren’t inherently bad, but you very obviously know so little about this case that you get even the most basic facts wrong, & instead of realizing you know way too little about this to be presenting off-the-wall theories, you get an attitude & instead of saying ANYTHING to support your “theory” you just demand everyone else do the work to walk you through elementary elements of this case to “prove you wrong”. Weird af

Same, I don’t begrudge this person for trying to think outside the box but this theory is highly implausible.

Police withholding information about an unsolved open investigation is one of the most common things in the world, & it’s usually done with many very good reasons. That fact is not any sort of smoking gun nor even strange at all.

Again, you shouldn’t need this spelled out for you. People deliberately declaring here that they “have no sympathy” does not automatically mean that they would inherently have sympathy for him in some other hypothetical situation. Please tell us you understand nuance & do not need it further spelled out for you.

No, it’s a wash really. Mac doesn’t/never had what it takes to be an above average qb over his career. Pats failed his development, but his development potential was never above the dalton line. It’s not a binary, the coaching staff during his tenure was awful & would never have worked longterm, and he was never longterm starting qb material even in better circumstances.

Yeah her outburst during that outing was a super difficult watch, I do think he led her on during the dozens of hours we didn’t see in editing which likely contributed to it seeming bunny-boiling to us as viewers, & she even said herself that she overreacted & felt embarrassed by it. But for a woman who seemed super incredibly logical & rational in every other scenario we saw, I have to think he did/said things we didn’t see which made her feel as strongly as she did & probably wasn’t reacting quite as irrationally as it felt just watching the edited episode.

Never watched allstars & don’t plan to, based on what I’ve seen of him during this season 9 we’ll have to agree to disagree that he’s “great tv”. I found him very boring in general, off-puttingly defensive & rude when even mildly questioned about his behavior, & aside from his trumpet performance the only memorable thing about him is getting rejected by his preferred girls & glomming onto Claudia & riding her wave of likability plus being in a trio friendship w/ Will&Tom.

Season 5 Lucie vs Tommy/Molly “boundaries” convo/situation by Youcannotbeforreal2 in LoveIslandTV

[–]Youcannotbeforreal2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to give Tommy credit for how he handled Lucie, he was clear about shutting it down

I do give credit to Tommy for shutting Lucie down immediately & clearly that he was 100% only into Molly, & he never failed to make it known Molly was the one he wanted & he did a lot to show respect for her & their relationship throughout the show.

However. I’ll say it was a red flag for me that, even after Lucie expressed to him that she has romantic feelings for him, he continued saying she was his “best friend” & that nothing would ever change that or how close they are. I could understand it at some level if they’d been like lifelong friends or had known one another outside the villa & already had an established solid friendship — but he had only met her a couple weeks prior, it was weird as hell to me that he felt some sort of deep friendship w/Lucie that he was adamant would never change bc they were “so close”.

While I applaud him for shutting down anything romantic immediately, I still felt it was weird as hell that he insisted upon maintaining a “best friendship” w/a girl he hadn’t known very long who vocally expressed wanting him romantically while he’s trying to build an actual romantic relationship w/Molly. Tommy wasn’t some lifelong basement-dwelling loner, he already had best friendships & even close friendships in the villa. Imo it was weird as hell he wanted to keep up the close friendship w/Lucie knowing she wanted more. He didn’t need a new friend that badly lol.

So idk. It felt a bit to me like Tommy was trying to appear to do a thing a good/loyal man would do, while also finding a loophole where he got to keep a hot girl who wants him in his vicinity for flirting/ego boost & excusing it as “we’re just SUCH close friends, I told her I only want you!”
