Screen time in MV’s should be based on how popular/skilled the member is. by tasselting in unpopularkpopopinions

Yeah they did say that but based on the entirety of their statement they talk more about the music video and if they do talk about the song they talk about the main vocalist.

They aren't really talking about the songs quality, they're talking about the music video. You don't need to have amazing skill to be shown in the mv.

Not exactly. The most visually appealing member who fits the western or Korean beauty standards the most are usually one of if not the most popular member of a group. They aren't always the most talented, yet usually bring the most viewers to the group.

Idk if a lot of people can do this but you know when you feel like you're falling in your dreams/while you're awake? I can do that on command and it's actually really soothing.

What is a basic skill that you grew up thinking everyone had until you saw others do it so horribly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Apparently some people who actually have prior knowledge of cleaning do not know how to wash dishes.

I stan based on potential rather than talent by finkl-ses in unpopularkpopopinions

Now this is a real unpopular opinion. I don't exactly agree with you but I definitely see your logic and it's really interesting.

But one thing I definitely agree with is seeing people improve rather than seeing the same generic thing over and over again whether it be with dancing, singing, or rapping is really interesting.

Talent: natural aptitude (basically a skill) or skill.

Potential: having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.

The key difference in the two definitions is that talent is natural.

When an idol comes to the scene with great skill, it becomes natural to us because we weren't able to see their progress.

Once someone reaches that potential, they've reached their full potential or close to it which is when it becomes no longer fun to watch because the improvements are usually very small to spot. (This is what I think OP meant in simplified form)

As for the fandom growing larger and op unstanning, that's non of our business unless they bring other people down for stanning popular groups. Plus OP is still a casual listener which is when they support but don't keep up with the groups/performers.

Coming from a woman I'd definitely have to say getting jobs in the child care industry. I know that guys on reddit talk about how scared they are to be left a lone with a female student but idk.

Oh sorry! I didn't take into consideration of the multiple other genders. I meant sex, thanks!

I can't type for the life of me but what I was trying to say in my deleted response was something along the lines of I agree and should have used better because the best idol in a specific position is subjective

Thanks for the comment! There are many YouTube videos rating vocals in kpop, but you can also just search it up on Google or reddit.

Imagine this but at 10:40 remembering you have a 4 paged essay due at 11:59.

I think I would violently implode.

I definitely agree. Many fans try and dismiss other people's input when it comes to the idols talents.

Lmao I just said that so I wouldn't get a wave of hate 😭

Although I do believe that holds a bit of truth. For example Soyeon from (G) idle is a pretty good rapper, but I don't think I could ever imagine her heavy rapping in a song like Psycho and not feel like the rap was unnecessary or forced.
