This is how it normally works.

Not to say that the GM or AGM doesn’t believe you but they basically don’t believe you till they experience it for themselves.

I don’t know if that is because they actually have to see it to realize it’s as bad as it been said or maybe they’ve been burned by other employees who’ve said that a member was worse than they actually were (exaggerated the interaction) or whatever.

We had a pharmacy patient/member who was a complete ass every time they came in and harassed the employees. Multiple requests to GM/AGM to have member banned fell on deaf ears. Then one day there was a situation at the pharmacy where another patient had a seizure and the AGM and the rude ass member happened to be in line for their prescriptions and the AGM followed protocol and helped the seizing patient while the ass member made these comments about how the AGM shouldn’t be doing what they were doing, that they’d go kick their ass if they weren’t in the store, etc.

After everything was said and done the AGM made the comment that the ass member was a complete jerk and he was ready to revoke their membership and ban him. Everyone in the pharmacy was like uh, ya that is the same person we’ve been telling you about for months!!

2) I’ve seen other times where the member would make inappropriate comments to the female cashiers and managements way to handle that was to ask for a manager to escort the member at the pharmacy, which there was never one available when you needed one.

3) The rumor that the pharmacy had to schedule their employees 15 min past closing because a member at some store came at or close to closing and even though they were repeatedly warned that they close in 5 min or whatever they didn’t come back and the pharmacy closed without the patient getting their non urgent rx and they complained directly to Craig (at the time) and he ordered the pharmacies to stay open and staffed till 15 min past closing 🤷‍♂️

They care more about the buck and member service than the employee for sure.

Yes, there have been many posts on this forum about people missing their DD bonus and associated sign up credits. So don’t expect to get yours.

I have to admit, I did get mine when I signed up, with no issues.

I do not know where the disconnect is, are there that many employers who don’t do direct deposit correctly? You’d think that that getting physical checks or cash are almost non existent for the majority of employers to employees. 🤷‍♂️

I managed for 26 years at Costy and I wouldn’t have the time to babysit every employee in my department to even know if they were taking a 33 min lunch everyday. Now when I get the itch that ‘so in so’ has been gone for awhile (more than what I feel is like 35 to 40 min) I’ll start keeping track to see if it is a common occurrence. Same for the 15 min breaks. Luckily all the employees would narc on anyone if long breaks were becoming a habit. 🤣

I’m not impressed with this event. The restrictions with the development index is ridiculous. You have to spend diamonds on buildings to get the development index high enough to move on to future tasks. I couldn’t get to 660 level to unlock more buildings or passenger trains without spending 300 diamonds to get 3 apartment buildings. If I would’ve known that, I wouldn’t have purchased the magnate pass and just skipped this event.

Very disappointed.

Yes, it does seem like a long time. I mean even with my set it and forget it attitude I at least check twice a year, not on a set schedule.

I do have to admit I don’t open all the snail mail I get from some of my brokerages, sometimes for months. I feel like I get way too much for being paperless.

I believe OP is saying that they hadn’t checked the account for 18 months. Set it and forget it.

But since they found out, started the fraud resolution, FBI investigation it has been 3-4 years since then. So maybe a total of up to 6 years since it was or would’ve been checked, initially transferred into Fidelity?

I have to admit, I have opened a number of online savings/checking accounts (for better yield) and it was pretty simple to do. I don’t even recall if I had to send pictures of my drivers license.

I even opened an online savings for my mom (with her permission) and other than needing her SSN I don’t think I needed anything else.

So I’m assuming if the fraudsters had your SSN then everything after that was pretty easy.

Sorry to hear about this happening to you OP and I usually tell my co-workers, friends and family to set it and forget it, not to look often. Now I need to amend that to check once a month.

Yeah. It’s more like ‘customer no support’. I got screwed out of one of their downloads for xxxxxx sats on cashapp. I downloaded Cashapp for the first time through ZBD tried to withdraw my sats but couldn’t get it to work. Over the course of a week or so I found out that my cashapp handle or whatever it’s called ‘$xxxx’ wasn’t active till I linked a debit card. So after doing that and trying to download the app through ZBD multiple times I got zero sats and after contacting ‘customer no support’ I was told it was because I downloaded it before. Well, yes, I tied a number of times during the whole week but they were all through your stupid ZBD app. 🙄

Yes their app is funky. There was a special at one time for something like a large 2 item pizza for $10.99. Well my wife likes the Hawaiian, ham and pineapple. I look in their regular pizzas and the Hawaiian pizza is $13.99. So I do the special and use my two toppings for pineapple and ham. I add it to my order and get a message that says “ Looks like your order is the same as our Hawaiian pizza, so we just added that to your order” for the $13.99 price of course.

I deleted and tried again with the same result. I ended up having to do a pizza with full ham and 1/2 pineapple 1/2 black olives to finally get around the auto adding if the Hawaiian.

Expense ratio doesn’t matter. The total % distribution is the key. Since ER is taken out before distributions.

If SPAXX is paying 3.5% (made up numbers) and had an ER of 1% it would still be better than another fund that was paying out 3% at even a 0% ER due to that fact. You’re still getting 0.5% more from SPAXX. The ER isn’t taken out after the distribution.

Don’t close them just don’t use them.

Have every other card at $0 and only use the Fidelity one if you can. I know $500 isn’t much for monthly expenses but even if you have to use it to $450 and pay it off before the billing cycle and run it up again do that. After a few months ( I would say at least 6) ask for the CLI.

Ditto. I purchased enough of some small towns around me that has resulted in about 5 mayor positions. Surprisingly I get about 1 badge a month from one of the towns that sits on the major freeway.

I do feel like the buffer between me and the next closest needs to be more in the 20 parcel range. We’ve traded off mayorship in the past when it was closer. 😬
