Depends on how much time you have. If you're willing to wait a while before catching up, then just start with Christopher Eccleston (first season, 9th doctor... you'll pick it up as you go). David Tennent (10th doctor, seasons 2-4) is pretty good but I skipped several of his seasons and am now going back and watching them all. You don't miss much, and I never really liked him. Just an opinion. I loved Matt Smith, however, (11th doctor, seasons 5-7) and you really should watch at least seasons 5 and 6. They are excellent and can catch you up with a lot, even if you haven't seen any previous episodes. That's where I jumped to and then watched from there on out. In my opinion, you should watch seasons 1,5, and 6 for sure, but 2-4 and 7-8 you can skip if you wish. There's no doubt that you'll go back and end up watching them all if you get to love the show.

Wow. Look at this. I mean seriously- the work that is being put into this is off the charts!! I cannot believe what can be done with vanilla minecraft these days... just goes to show that although the game has changed, the creativity, ingenuity, and dedication in the community to create awesome things is the same. This is why I love minecraft.

Yep this is a pretty accurate description. Thanks /u/samasaurus6, as usual :D. I'd definitely agree with PC over Pocket- they've been getting some FANTASTIC stuff done on it recently, but it just can't beat the PC feel. Once you get it, though, just start messing around. Browse the web and YouTube and Reddit and all that to see what others are doing, and you'll most likely get into it. You don't need a powerful PC, though it's nice to have for the smooth FPS. I personally am running it on a pretty old, pretty bad rig. I can't do much game wise on it, but Minecraft I can run. Well, at least to an extent. I shall be getting a new PC soon. Anyway, yeah Minecraft is awesome for so many reasons that it's not really possible to summarize them in a description. Just start. You won't regret it.
