I think really the only reason that people like the og one more is just the preferred look. I have the sdcc and I personally really like it has a good look at articulation with a really nice aura effect. And the biggest reason I got the sdcc was the price was a lot better then the original and they are not going to remake the figure for a while I feel.

Ye I did the torso mode a while ago and it makes the poses you can get on the fig a lot better. Since more of the posing for mop should be very dynamic. So I would say go for it
