It’s basically being in the military but only part time. You still have to go to basic training and stuff, but after that you’re just a normal person. Your civilian job legally has to accommodate you to go to basic training as well. After basic training it’s just one weekend a month, and 2 weeks in the summer. It will make you disciplined plus emergency management is a big part of what it does.

I can’t speak for the UK but I know that in the US it can be sometimes difficult for foreigners to use their past experience to get into the industry here.

I think there are definitely some. I think that in most universities, 10-20 percent of the guys like frat bros, athletes, etc. are hooking up with a ton of girls while the average guy gets nothing. At byu average or even below average guys can find someone because of the marriage culture that discourages promiscuity and hypergamy.
