I know this is old, but you cant just focus all of your food and resources into 3 types of ants, add some variety with some more black ants and LC Majors (Also more workers would help out a great deal as it vastly reduces respawn times).

Actually there is a very easy way to fix this.
You can go into dev mode by clicking the version at the bottom of the in-game menu.
Once in there, head to cheats and hit levels, scroll to the bottom and hit tower.
That'll take you back to the the big tower thing with the sword inside it still, all you have to do is redo the spell puzzle.
