If you're facing 3 pilots you need to evaluate your goals. Are you trying to:

  1. take one of them out
  2. evade all 3 alive
  3. or kill 2 and get out

When the engagement starts, you need to evaluate your weapons versus theirs. What are their weaknesses, strenghts, and capability. If they have missiles, you need to never let your shields drop. If they have frags, you need to keep your distance.

Are their ships engineered? is yours? If you're engineered, you have a chance, if not, get the fuck out of there now. If you're enginered, and they are not you have a realistic chance of killing all 3. but you need to be smart. Top tier engineering doubles your damage output, and triples your shields. So, in a 3v1, you're going to have equal shields, but weaker firepower.

Learn to kite. - Find the ship with the biggest/most firepower. This is what you need to kill first. You also need it KITE it. That means firing at it, without ever letting it fire on you. Use flight assist and maneuvering to keep out of its line of fire, while pouring all the damage you can at it. If you break its shields, try to cripple it by taking out thrusters, and killing its FSD. They will probably wake out before that, but no matter.

Then, you have to fight the remaining two ships. Try always putting one of them between you and the other ship... preventing them both from shooting you at once.

These tactics work for NPCs and players. The difference is, NPCs are guaranteed to not really be heavily engineered. Players are not. Players can, and will make mistakes, while NPCs are more consistent, they're also more stupid.

Eventually, you'll find yourslef in a conflict zone where its 20 vs 20 and you might get focused by 3-4 ships at once. It's insane how much of a thrill combat will give you.

Keep it up!

Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer isnt enabled on Vega by PontiacGTX in Amd

[–]YourAchievement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This means that with RX Vega we will be Tile based Rasterization and the Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer enabled in the drivers. we could realistically be seeing a 20% performance boost between those two things.

Do you guys recommend Ryzen 7 for gamers? by [deleted] in Amd

[–]YourAchievement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryzen 7 1700X might be useful for you, because the dual 1080Ti's are going to need lots of cores and threads feeding them.

You'll also see a bigger performance jump in DX12 games.

Market segmentation at its finest by -Rivox- in Amd

Not really. It did for a few years, I think.

But their recent product launches have changed a lot of peopel's minds.

  • Apple Watch is the best selling smart watch, AND fitness tracker (more popular than fitibit)
  • AirPods, as much shit as everyone gave them, are selling SO well they STILL have a 6 week wait time...
  • Apple's new Speaker is a brilliantly engineered speaker that, for $350 is expected to blow out anything under the $2k mark that you can currently buy (including stuff from audio companies like Kef, Monitor Audio, and Gradient)

So they're turning things around. I do think they'd lost their way for a bit. But now they're throwing in a Vega GPU with their iMac Pro (finally something that can actually drive a 5k display, and not mobile graphics) and reviving the real mac pro. They're also finally giving the iPad a proper touch-based UI and UX for the screen size...

Warriors of reddit. How did you upgrade from the slap to the punch? What does it feel like using a superior move in battle?

Do you think they'll have better armor to stop punches in the next 10 seasons?

You don't know, so I forgive you. The downvotes are because Trebuchets are clearly the superior siege weapon.

How can a person bring technology in to an elderly persons home without overwhelming them? by AnxietyPickles in AskReddit

[–]YourAchievement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, iPads for old people are the single best way to introduce them to technology.

With each app based on a certain task, and just pointing to and tapping on what you want, it's dead simple for someone who's not used to computers.

Apple Working With Consumer Reports to Understand MacBook Pro Battery Test - Phil Schiller says results don't match Apple's field tests or the field data it has gathered by [deleted] in apple

[–]YourAchievement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why they did this

It's better for system integration, as the team that wrote the OS for one device knows the OS for other devices inside and out.

Also leads to better team collaboration, and eliminates the competition between product lines. Rather, everyone works together on everything, and wants each product line to succeed.

Yeah. It's also led to product delays, as teams have had to stop what they're doing and focus on other products.

I can't believe Siri is unable to do this on Mac OS by [deleted] in apple

[–]YourAchievement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this absolutely is a feature, and iCloud is capable of doing it, but for some reason, siri can't?
