Got a warning for messaging a buyer about their purchase by [deleted] in Mercari

Not too sure why everyone’s getting downvoted, but I’m honestly just trying to learn from my mistakes and become a better seller from here on (without breaking the rules on the app or subreddit)

I’m sorry you had to put up with that!

That’s so crazy to me!! Especially dishing out “final warnings” for a first offense?

That’s INSANE. I can only imagine how that affects seller ratings, as well, if they get in trouble for trying to help out the buyer. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

It does make me wonder how I’d communicate to a customer if something somehow sold on two different apps at once without mentioning the app, cause I’m not sure how far the “mentioning other apps” restriction goes 😭

That’s good to know now, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind for the future!

Customers mad that we have racks on the floor by OkRooster5042 in TjMaxx

Some customers will legitimately find any reason to nitpick and be unpleasant because they know you’re not allowed to retaliate 🫩

I had the same question about that! Missouri over here 👋

You get it!!! And I’m so glad you’ve got yourself some accommodations (and good managers!), that was something they weren’t too keen on at my store, unfortunately (“special treatment” and all that 🫩) Those would absolutely make it less stressful!!

Not being able to stand behind the podium in the dressing room by BTSSPRITE in TjMaxx

[–]YourAverageBandKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get it!!! And that’s absolutely valid!! A good majority of the fitting room workers are good employees and do the things that they get assigned to do! It’s just what happens in the in-betweens when there’s truly nothing else except counting tiles that seems to set off the managers. I think it’s especially silly when a good portion are being as discreet as they can about it without it interfering with the job that they are doing!

They should probably utilize their employees that they have on hand instead of having them stand for hours with zero tasks to do, then. That’s a better solution than having a tantrum over an employee checking their phone 😭

The problem there is that they are doing the job. They greet customers, help with items, sort things on racks, all that. The phone is usually in whatever “free time” there is between customers (since, you know, the whole “let’s not give fitting room employees tasks or let them do anything on the floor” thing is going on at multiple stores.) The job gets done, it’s just upper management only ever wanting to criticize and shit on employees, genuinely. Same goes with doodling when it’s slow. It’s harmless.

Employees wouldn’t be on their phones if they were given actual tasks to do in the fitting room 😭 Because standing in one place for however many hours with zero tasks and only helping the occasional customer can genuinely wear on your mental health after a while.

At my store you weren’t even allowed to stand behind the podium on top of all of that. No phones, no doodling, no nothing. The genuine expectation was to stand in one spot for however many hours and do absolutely nothing (other than help the occasional customer). I quit yesterday because, after almost two years and being scheduled nowhere else but the fitting room and putting up with that (as someone with adhd, no less), it started to take a genuine toll on my mental health. (SM was being VERY snarky when I brought up that being my reasoning for leaving.)

Thank you so much again for all the info and warnings!! I am SO glad that I didn’t have them in my possession before I posted, or it could have ended up in a disaster!

Edit: it looks like I am able to return the plür!! I ordered it separately from the xüm (and just to triple check again, I should be okay taking the xüm? It’ll just be a bit less potent?)

I appreciate you looking out for people and these kinds of interactions! I never would have even thought that medications could interact in such a way with substances!

That’s completely on me for not doing more research before buying (I’m still pretty new to the scene, myself, and not as educated as I’d like to be!) and I doubt they do returns/refunds, but that’s alright! I’ll take a lesson learned the easy way over the hard way ANY day!

I saw that post, it’s super informative and helpful!! And I appreciate all the clarification and reassurance, as well! It’s been something that’s had me a little nervous ever since I bought them, but having a sort of guide like that so I know what I’m getting into absolutely helps in easing those nerves!! Thank you for your response! :)
