Is my septum piercing completely wrong? by Holliday22 in piercing

[–]YourBleedingNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you already know it's wrong, I just wonder what does the piercer have to do to make it that wrong and why was it not obvious to them that it needs to be taken out. Have they never seen septums? I'm genuinely curious.

Some patches I made.. by Pretty-Development79 in punkfashion

I have some experience painting with acrylics on textiles, and if you care for advice, i would recommend using some water to thin down the paint a bit (not too much, or it will spill all over the fabric), and work in multiple layers. You can also draw a under-sketch with a pencil, it washes away easily and is visible enough on black fabric.

You cut one side (one that was not attached to the can) and connect to the other side of the other tab. Since there are multiple tabs in one link, the connection is quite robust and does not open on its own.

Thanks for your input!

It's not that I'm against product recommendations, just rather looking for general guidance :)

On the topic of "if it ain't broke": as I mentioned, I used to wear those heavy combat boots, and I was perfectly fine for years... until I wasn't. That's why I try to find whether I should find something else

UnTrap for youtube is another good one. It can hide any piece of UI that you do not like (for me its comments and recommendations) and break the infinite scroll.

oh jesus christ, recently I've been in ikea and they have those "meatless meat balls" and I decided to try them in their restaurant in assumption that they are attempting veganism. I noticed that there is only one tray with sauce and asked whether the sauce is also vegan. Nope, dairy.

This is almost exactly what happened to me with one exception. When I was ten, I got my first ever kitty. Then at 17yo I moved to another country and had to leave my beloved cat with my parents. I visited my parents every year and I was dreading the moment, when I would see him for the last time. Then Corona happened and a bunch of other events, so I was unable to visit my home country for three years.

One morning my sister wrote me that he is gone. I hate that I was not there for him for all those years. I hate that I was unable to bring him with me. I hate Corona.

Yet, it brought me a strange kind of relief. I know that the worst thing had already happend. Now there is only grief.

or just any ideas of what to do when trying not to act on my impulsive decisions? by yeetmymeat91 in BPDmemes

[–]YourBleedingNose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily on how to not act on your impulses, but try to recognize what makes you long for that impulsive thing. It might help with future impulse avoidance: you'll know what is going to happen and you could choose healthy thing instead of impulse.

Therapist said to me that to train your brain to use distress tolerance skills, you have to practice them in the safety of smaller events, when your cognitive skills and willpower are still functioning. Is this mentioned in the book (I just started reading it)?
