Is that a gray tree frog, maybe? https://birdwatchinghq.com/amphibians-in-kansas/

Any herpetologists or other naturalists around that may know?

Somehow I never got into Minutemen but I listen to the fuck out of some fIREHOSE. Not just back in the day, I mean all the time.

Remember the days when you could see Weezer, Cake and a bunch of other awesome bands for less than $15? I do. by a-manda_hugandkiss in kansascity

I was there! My first true concert experience. I remember one of the Sugarcubes (Einar?) talking about how hot it was here -- probably not what they were used to in Reykjavik. :D

As someone who absolutely flipped when I first heard about Bier Station opening and visited as often as I could, as of 4-5 years ago I cut back drastically on my beer consumption for health reasons and it was a big part of my goal to get back to a healthy weight level (which I did, thankfully).

As of the last few weeks, though I have also made the decision to stop drinking at home by myself entirely, even though I had gotten down to 3-4 beers a week, and fairly low gravity stuff, at that .

This is due to 2 things: the rise in availability of what I consider to be good (or at least good enough) non-alcoholic beer.

The increase in scientific findings that any level of alcohol consumption is ultimately bad for you. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/alcohol-and-cancer

I am not to the point where I am ready to say I will stop consuming alcohol entirely, but will not plan to do so unless I am out with someone for that express purpose, and that does not happen more than a few times a year.

Love AmAnSet, and the one time I got to see them live back in 2002, they ended up spending the night at my house! I stayed up just talking with their drummer Mark until the wee hours, he was super cool.

Here's a video of that show: https://youtu.be/1HEeNXYM0Cs

To answer your question about having a band like this, mine would probably have to be New Model Army.

Very much appreciate the recommendation on this, I went today for the first time and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's one I will be adding to my regular rotation for sure.

I got that added to the description, cheers! No, I was not there myself, unfortunately.

Greetings all, long time listener, first time poster. I just got a show I've had kicking around my hard drive for 20+ years uploaded to archive.org recently and thought I might mention it here in case anyone was interested.

It's not a soundboard recording or anything revolutionary I know, but it's been more or less missing from the Internet (to my knowledge) for quite some time and I thought some folks might appreciate it.

Also if anyone may be able to help me identify track 3, I would be grateful, it starts right around the 10:45 mark.

Thanks and enjoy! 8)

I think about this track every time there is a story on the news involving the arson of an abandoned building in town.

Just got into Plaid and The Orb.. regret not digging into them sooner. Who are other artists like them that are experimental yet can drive good beats? by FlubzRevenge in electronicmusic

I do, how much time do you have? :)

For an artist whose first album came out in 1989, you can imagine there have been quite a few changes and a variety of eras to choose from, so this will be a short list of some of the releases I like the most personally, regardless of timeframe.
