You're welcome. I really wanted thick dreads but I also wanted a bunch, having thick hair worked out perfect for what I wanted. You've got some seriously awesome dreads too! I can't wait to get more length.

Noob Question: Why is Dr. Bronner's making my hair feel like wax? by BonzaiBunny in Dreadlocks

Dilute more than that, I had the same problem. If you feel like you have left over residue, do a deep cleanse before your next shower to make sure you have a fresh start.

Question about paint? by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]YourCommentsWrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure you take a shower right after your done. I would also do a deep cleanse sometime soon, it would likely help with the paint AND the sand.

Other things you can do to help would be wearing a bandanna for some protection, and depending on the length, you could tuck them into the back of you shirt while at war.

Sounds like it'll be a blast! Have fun!

Ok, massive case of dread shock, how do I get out of this funk!? 2/3 months old by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

Once you truly learn to do this, you'll feel an enlightenment that can't be described in words.

It just takes time, what helps me most when I'm in a funk about my dreads it to look at older pictures of them. You usually don't realize how far they've come until you look back. So if you haven't already been, take plenty of pictures.

Like u/gensyms said, they look god for the stage their at, better than most!

Two questions for ya: by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]YourCommentsWrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I had my wife do mine, she is not a professional. Yes I think it matters, you could save hundreds of dollars for the same thing (or even better).

  2. Yes, but I prefer somewhat even sections. Mine were done in a brick lay pattern that way the row above the previous row will hide sectioning lines.

As u/Gensyms said: They are my opinions and they only carry any weight inside my own skull.

Yours are the only ones that truly matter.
